AI Limit: Charon Choice Guide and Which to Pick

In AI Limit, the Charon choice only comes up if you're aiming for the Second Dawn ending. This is considered the "true" ending of the game—and yep, it's the hardest one to unlock.
To even reach Charon, you have to do a laundry list of things. Here's what that all looks like, and the choices you have/what happens depending on which one you pick.
Step 1: Complete Delpha's Questline
You need to bring Delpha 7 Soil Samples, then defeat the hidden boss Ursula to get the Living Seed. Give that to Delpha at the Arboretum, and he’ll grow the Azure Branch. That’s your first key.
Step 2: Unlock the Courtyard of the Tree
Interact with the Seal of the Tree at the Gate of the Tree Branch. Then go back and talk to Millaire at the Temporary Campsite to show her the seal. Meet her again at the gate to fight a boss together. Afterward, jump off the edge to reach the hidden zone Courtyard of the Tree. Head upstairs and talk to Charon—but don’t worry, the actual choice doesn’t happen yet.
Step 3: Trigger Elysium Access
Now defeat Loskid and talk to her to get the Golden Branch, which unlocks the final area. Instead of heading straight to the boss, go back to Central Garden, walk upstairs, and touch the water pool to teleport to Elysium.
Step 4: Fight Aether, The Father
After clearing Elysium, beat the last boss as usual. But now, instead of just getting one option...
Step 5: The Charon Choice
You’ll be given two options:
Accept the Invitation – Leads to the Boundless Stars ending.
Decline the Invitation – Triggers a hidden boss fight against Charon, the Nurturer.
If you choose to decline, you’ll fight Charon right away. It’s a hard fight, but winning it gets you the Second Dawn ending and a nice shiny trophy for your troubles.
Final Blurb
The Charon choice is only available if you’ve fully cleared Delpha and Shirley’s quests. Skip a step and it disappears. It’s a fitting final test: a hidden boss, tucked behind a dozen layers of optional content, standing in the way of the real ending. Classic Soulslike.
Pick wisely—or just back up your save and pick both.
