Welcome to Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen! If you're new, this guide is here to help you avoid frustration and enjoy the unique experience this game offers (and one that we personally love). Let’s dive into some beginner tips to get you started on the right foot.

1. Starting Out

When you first log in you’ll begin in a newbie area which depends on your class. For example:

  • Caster classes start on a floating island with a teleporter to other starter zones.

  • Other classes have their zones close to the main town.

Look in your inventory for spell scrolls, ability scrolls, and a quest scroll. Use these immediately by pressing B to unlock your abilities. You can drag abilities onto your bar or move them around to suit your playstyle.

2. Quests and Gathering

Why Do Quests?

  • Early quests give you gathering tools like skinning knives or mining picks.

  • These tools allow you to collect resources such as wood, leather, or ore, which are crucial for crafting.

  • Completing quests will make sure that you don’t miss key mechanics like crafting early on.

Where to Start?

Follow paths from your starting area to the nearby town. All paths lead there, and you can find crafting stations, banks for storage, main quest NPCs.

3. Crafting

Crafting is a big part of the game and it starts early. You can check out our crafting guide here.

  • Crafting Tokens: You’ll receive two tokens that unlock crafting professions. Choose wisely! Once you pick a profession you may not be able to change it.

  • Store your tokens in the bank until you decide which crafting path to take.

  • Gather materials like leather, jute, or ore to use or sell later.

4. Navigation

There’s no in-game map, so learning the layout is important. Here’s a quick orientation:

  • Town center: All paths from newbie zones lead to town.

  • Bridges: Crossing a bridge takes you to higher-level areas.

  • Compass directions:

    • East: Bank

    • South: Out of town into higher-level zones

    • West: Back to newbie areas

5. Combat Tips

  • Level 1 Survival: Stick to enemies with a “white con” (these are neutral and manageable). Avoid anything stronger until you’re level 2.

  • Groups are key: This is not a solo-friendly game. Look for groups early by pressing L to open the group finder. Always be ready to join a group if invited.

  • Skinning and Loot: Use your tools to gather materials from defeated enemies, like leather from bats or beeswax from hornets.

Check out our basic leveling guide here.

6. Inventory and Banking

Inventory space is limited so you’ll have to manage it wisely:

  • Sell “general” items to vendors for money.

  • Keep “materials” like leather or ore for crafting or trading with players.

  • Buy or craft better bags as soon as you can to increase your storage.

7. Join a Guild

This is a very social game so you’ll want to join a guild if you can.

If you must play solo, here’s our guide we put together on the best solo classes.

  • Be proactive in forming or joining groups. Levels 1–3 are tough alone, but things improve with help.

  • Engage with other players for advice, crafting trades, or just to chat.

8. Class Selection

Play what you want to play, but know that all classes have a role and different strengths/weaknesses. Here’s our guide on all of the different classes.

  • Tanks (Warriors, Paladins): Great for group play.

  • Healers (Shamans, Clerics): Always needed and excellent for buffs.

  • DPS (Rangers, Mages, Necromancers): Focused on damage with unique abilities like pets or crowd control.

  • Utility (Enchanters): Perfect for crowd control and support.

Final Blurb

  • Learn the layout of your starting area: It’s a circle leading back to town.

  • Use the “/stuck” command: This teleports you back to your soulbind location, which is usually your trainer.

  • Gather wisely: Don’t pick up everything—focus on valuable resources like jute, ore, or leather.

  • Be patient: Leveling is slow, and the game is designed for group play.

Don’t be discouraged if things feel tough at first—stick with it, and you’ll uncover a deep and engaging world. Enjoy the adventure!
