Blue Archive Geburah Raid Guide (Insane and Up)
Written by Rahul Gupta
Geburah is a Red armor raid boss in Total Assault that completely shuts down Striker DPS and forces full reliance on Special units. To beat her, you need a team built around defense debuffs, healing, and managing the radiator's Overload cycle. On Insane and higher, repositioning units is required due to hypothermia mechanics.
This guide breaks down all mechanics, from radiator timing to team structure, including unit recommendations for each role.
Boss Mechanics Overview
Geburah reduces damage from Strikers, Vehicles, and Summons by 75%. Specials gain an 80% damage boost. Her DEF is so high that you lose over 60% of your total output without a defense shred. Specials are your only way to win.
You only get two Special slots, so your Strikers must support. A full team needs one or two Special DPS, one healer, one tank, one defense shredder, and a reposition unit for higher difficulties.
Radiator System
A central mechanic is the Radiator, which you must heal using EX skills:
Above 70%: Heals your whole team every 6 seconds and gives 25% incoming damage reduction.
100% (Overload): Grants +30% ATK, +60% Crit DMG, and +500 Cost Regen (total 0.84/sec).
Under 30%: Does nothing.
The Overload state slowly decays over time and can’t be held forever. Focus healing to overload early, enter your DPS window, and reset once it cools.
Iceberg & Cold Phase
After Geburah fires her laser, she summons an Iceberg:
Caps healing to 1 HP per tick.
Applies 45% DEF debuff.
Deals 30% ATK as tick damage every 4 seconds.
You can either:
Wait 20 seconds: Barrier expires, Iceberg takes 70% HP self-damage.
Use shield-piercing Specials: Bypass the 4x HP shield to end the phase early.
Phase skip: If timed well, pushing Geburah to 60% HP transitions to Phase 2 and deletes the Iceberg.
Once the Iceberg breaks, all healing is doubled for 20 seconds. Use this to re-overload the Radiator and start another burst cycle.
Hypothermia (Insane+)
Each student gains a hypothermia bar that fills after 50 seconds of inactivity. If full, they become Frozen:
No attacks or skill usage.
Healing capped at 1.
Take 80% more damage.
To prevent this, move your team using a reposition skill. Do this every 40–45 seconds to stay safe. Some advanced players use summon-based “social distancing,” but this is not practical for most.
Team Structure
Each team should aim for:

Phase 2 Difference
At 60% HP, Geburah unlocks a powerful ATG skill: a crashing glacier. It’s lethal during the cold phase and often paired with the Iceberg. Use shields or ATK debuffs to survive it. Plan your stronger teams for Phase 2 if using multiple clears.
Strategy Summary
Heal the radiator early and aim to reach Overload.
Dump all damage during Overload. Buffs are huge.
Watch for the laser, survive the Iceberg.
Break the Iceberg with shield-piercing Specials, phase skip, or wait 20s.
Re-overload the radiator, repeat the cycle.
On Insane+, keep units moving every 45s to avoid Freeze.
Use teams that condense roles to survive and deal damage.
Final Blurb
Geburah is punishing if you're not prepared, but incredibly rewarding if you are. It tests your roster depth, team utility, and timing. Rely on Specials, rotate burst phases, and keep your students warm. If you’ve invested in the right units, the raid becomes a clean loop of healing, nuking, freezing, and surviving.
Otherwise good luck in Extreme.
FAQ
Can Strikers deal any damage to Geburah?
No. They deal 75% less damage and are effectively useless for DPS.
Do I need to overload the radiator right away?
It helps but isn't required. You can build toward it slowly.
What breaks the Iceberg quickly?
Specials with shield-piercing EX skills or transitioning to Phase 2 at the right time.
Is reposition mandatory on Insane?
Yes. Without it, your units will Freeze and become useless.
Which healer type is better?
Striker healers are ideal to save your Special slots for damage.
What if I don’t have enough Specials?
Borrow from a friend or club, or play on lower difficulties like Extreme.
