Fastest Way to Level Speech in KCD2 | Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 XP Farming Guide

Leveling Speech can be a bit tricky because it’s one of the slower skills to level up. But with a bit of patience and the right way to go about this you can speed up the process:

1. Read Books to Gain Speech XP

• How It Works:

  • The best way to level up Speech is to read books. This method is similar to leveling Scholarship since you’ll gain Speech XP as you read. Scribes, in particular, have plenty of books you can steal, or simply pick up books that you find scattered around the game world. Don’t forget that skill books also contribute to your XP, so grab those whenever you can.

• Why It Works:

  • Reading is the most reliable and passive way to level up Speech. While this method might take a little time, it’s effective and doesn’t require you to spend too much time actively engaging in conversation or completing speech checks.

2. Use Speech Checks (Not as Fast, but Helpful)

• How It Works:

  • Although it doesn’t provide as much XP as reading, you can also level Speech by passing speech checks in conversations. This gives a little boost to your Speech XP, but don’t expect it to be as fast as the reading method.

• Why It Works:

  • It’s a good way to increase Speech passively as you progress through the main story and side quests. Just keep an eye out for opportunities to pass Speech checks, and over time you’ll gain some extra XP.

3. Drink to Increase Speech (The Drinking Perk)

• How It Works:

  • Another way to level Speech is through the Drinking perk. Simply go to a tavern, buy 10 bottles of mead, and drink them all. This will raise your Drinking stat, but it also helps Speech. Each time you drink, you'll gain a small increase in Speech.

• Why It Works:

  • Drinking is an easy, quick, and repeatable method for gaining Speech XP. However, don’t go too crazy or you risk developing a mild alcoholism debuff, so be sure to wait for the debuff to wear off before continuing.

Final Tip:

For the fastest leveling of Speech, you’ll want to focus on reading books and hitting those Speech checks when possible. While drinking can help, it’s not the most efficient way to boost your Speech. Keep reading and talking to NPCs to passively level this skill!
