In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, drawing your weapon at the right time can make all the difference. Whether you're about to fight or need a quick switch, here's how to draw your weapon like an absolute boss in KCD2:

How to Draw Your Weapon

  • Switch Weapons Quickly with the D-Pad

    • If you're playing on PlayStation or Xbox, press left on the d-pad and then press X (or A on Xbox) to equip the weapon currently shown to the left of your health bar. This lets you quickly pull out the weapon you're ready to use.

    • Alternatively, hold left on the d-pad to cycle through your weapon slots, which can help avoid accidentally pulling out the wrong one (trust me, we’ve all been there).

  • Cycle Through Weapons

    • If you want to pull out a different weapon, just press left on the d-pad multiple times:

      • First press: Pulls out the weapon on the left of your health bar.

      • Second press: Switches to the next weapon.

      • Third press: You get the idea—keep pressing left to cycle through all your equipped weapons.

  • Using Bluetooth vs. USB

    • If the controls don’t seem to work, there may be a bug. Some have reported that using a USB-connected controller might cause issues, but switching to Bluetooth can solve the problem. So if it’s not working for you, try switching how you connect your controller.

Tip for a Smooth Switch

Holding left on the d-pad to cycle through weapons works better for many players since it reduces the chances of accidentally pulling out the wrong weapon. Give that a try if you're struggling with the default method!

Now you’re all set to switch your weapons without any hiccups—just make sure to have your weapon ready before the enemy has theirs!
