How to Get Grass | Cubic Odyssey Guide

If you’re trying to complete a fetch quest that wants grass, the game won’t help you much. It doesn’t look like grass. It doesn’t grow on grass. And you probably walked right past it ten times already.
Here’s how to actually find and collect it.
What Grass Looks Like
Despite the name, grass in Cubic Odyssey isn’t green or leafy.
It’s this chunky, orange, coral-like plant that sticks straight out of the ground, as shown in the image below:
It gives off a faint glow, has tall vertical blocks, and looks more like weird alien stone than anything you'd call “grass.”
Where to Find Grass
You’ll find grass growing out in the wild, usually:
Near cliff sides or cracks in the terrain
Mixed in among red and purple foliage
Often on lush or jungle-like planets
Sometimes close to caves or temples
It's not biome-locked, but it does seem more common in areas with dense plant life or near starter zones.
How to Collect Grass
No special tools are needed.
Just walk up and press your interact button
It will go straight into your inventory as "Grass"
It stacks like any normal quest item
The weird part is there are multiple types of grass, but they all seem to count for the same quest objective. If you're collecting 8 grass for an NPC, any version should work.
Final Blurb
Grass might be the worst-named item in Cubic Odyssey. It looks like an orange cactus made of firewood, and it doesn’t show up on your scanner. But once you know what it looks like, you’ll spot it all over the place.
Just remember, if it looks like something out of a sci-fi aquarium, it’s probably grass.
FAQ
Q: Can you scan for grass with your drone or Q key?
No, grass doesn’t show up with ore scans or material filters. You have to find it manually.
Q: Do you need a tool to harvest grass?
Just walk up and shoot it with your lil’ laser, then grab it.
Q: Does grass regrow after picking it?
It seems like it does over time or resets when you reload the area.
Q: Can I use grass for anything besides quests?
Right now, it's mostly used for fetch quests. You can store it, but there’s no known crafting use.
Q: Why does it look like orange stone?
Great question. No idea. Welcome to Cubic Odyssey.
