If you’re dreaming of walking around Cyrodiil like a holy crusader, the Knights of the Nine armor set is exactly what you need. But the gods don’t just hand out shiny relics to anyone—you’ll have to earn it.

Here’s how to get the full Knights of the Nine armor set in Oblivion Remastered.

Start the Knights of the Nine Questline

Note: See guide on how to start the questline here.

Before you grab any armor, you need to unlock the questline.

Where to Begin

  • Head to Anvil and visit the ruined Chapel of Dibella.

  • Outside, you’ll find The Prophet ranting about ancient evils and divine relics.

  • Talk to him to start your journey.

He’ll tell you to walk the Pilgrim’s Way, which basically means visiting shrines and asking the gods nicely for their blessing.

Complete the Pilgrimage

To prove you're worthy, you need to visit all Nine Divines Wayshrines scattered across Cyrodiil.

How to Finish the Pilgrimage

  • Pray at each shrine.

  • Once you’re done, you’ll get a vision that kicks off the true quest for the armor.

Now you’re officially on the path to collect the Crusader’s Relics, also known as the Knights of the Nine armor.

How to Collect & Get All Knights of the Nine Armor Pieces in Oblivion Remastered

Each piece of the set is tied to a specific quest. You’ll have to battle undead, solve puzzles, and pass divine tests.

Helm of the Crusader

  • Found in the Ayleid ruin Vanua during the early questline.

Cuirass of the Crusader

  • Received at the Priory of the Nine after clearing it out.

Gauntlets of the Crusader

  • Located in the Chapel of Stendarr in Chorrol.

  • You’ll need low Infamy to lift them—no stealing sweetrolls before this.

Greaves of the Crusader

  • Given to you during The Faithful Squire quest.

Boots of the Crusader

  • Earned by passing Kynareth’s trial at Kynareth’s Grotto.

Shield of the Crusader

  • Hidden in Fort Bulwark, behind puzzles and traps.

Mace of the Crusader

  • Claimed during The Path of the Righteous quest in Leyawiin.

Sword of the Crusader

  • Found cursed in Underpall Cave. You’ll need to purify it at the Chapel of Arkay.

Key Things to Know

Light or Heavy Armor?

  • The gods let you pick—kind of.

  • If your Light Armor skill is higher, you’ll get light armor. If Heavy Armor is higher, you’ll get the heavy version.

Keep Your Nose Clean

  • If your Infamy goes above 1, the relics will refuse to work.

  • Mess up? Just walk the Pilgrim’s Way again to reset your sins.

Upgrade and Repair

  • Use the Armor Stand at the Priory to:

    • Repair and recharge your relics.

    • Upgrade them to match your current level.

Final Blurb

Getting the Knights of the Nine armor isn’t just about looking cool—it’s about proving you're the champion the gods actually trust. So, stay righteous, avoid petty crime, and enjoy strutting through Cyrodiil like the divine warrior you were destined to be. Just don’t forget—one bad deed, and those relics will ditch you faster than a guard chasing a thief.
