The Jester’s Disguise is a unique outfit in KCD2, known for its bright colors and jingle bells. While it provides no real protection, it boosts charisma, making it useful for persuasion and roleplaying.
There are multiple variations of the Jester’s Disguise, and they can be obtained through different methods, including random bandit encounters, tournaments, and merchants.
Where to Find the Jester’s Outfit
1. Bandit Camps (Best Method – Random Encounter)
The full Jester’s Disguise can be looted from a bandit wearing it in random roadside camps.
These camps do not have fixed locations but can be found between major towns along roads.
One confirmed route to farm these camps is:
Travel from Sule to Kuttenberg.
Then return to Sule and repeat the cycle.
The bandit must be killed to loot the Jester’s Disguise… This is likely the only way to get the full outfit in one go without buying or finding bits and pieces.
2. Buying Parts from Merchants (Limited Availability)
Some tailors and traders may sell parts of the Jester’s Disguise, but not the full set.
The Jester’s Shoes have been spotted at random merchants, but availability may vary.
The Jester’s Coat and Hat are not known to be sold by merchants and must be obtained from the bandit encounter.
3. Tax Collector’s Chest (Guaranteed, But Lockpicking Required)
Jester’s Disguise 2 can be found inside a tax collector’s chest near the Kouřimská Gate west of Kuttenberg.
Lockpicking is required to access the chest.
If you don’t have high lockpicking, level up or use lockpicking perks before attempting this method.
4. Kuttenberg Tournament (Best for Unique Variants)
Jester’s Disguise 4 and 5 can be won as rewards from the Kuttenberg Tournament.
Winning multiple rounds in the tournament will unlock these variants.
The tournament resets periodically, so you can try again if you miss the reward.
How to Get the Full Jester’s Outfit
Find a roadside camp where the bandit wearing the Jester outfit is located (random event).
Kill the bandit and loot the entire outfit from his body.
If needed, buy Jester’s Shoes from a tailor or trader to complete the set.
Equip the full outfit, including Jester’s Coat, Jester’s Shoes, and Plait Trousers, to achieve the full Jester look.
Variations of the Jester’s Disguise
There are several versions of the Jester’s Disguise:
Jester’s Disguise 1 – Location unknown, possibly random loot.
Jester’s Disguise 2 – Found in the tax collector’s chest near Kuttenberg.
Jester’s Disguise 3 – Possibly purchased from merchants, availability unclear.
Jester’s Disguise 4 & 5 – Tournament rewards from the Kuttenberg Tournament.
Each version has different effects on conspicuousness, visibility, and charisma, making some versions more effective in persuasion encounters.
Stats & Durability Considerations
The Jester’s Disguise is not meant for combat, but it does have specific stats:
Charisma Boost – Helps with persuasion and speech checks.
Conspicuousness & Visibility – Attracts attention, making it bad for stealth.
Weight – Lightweight (2.9) but still affects movement.
Durability – Low (17), meaning it wears down quickly and needs repairs at a tailor.
Dirt & Blood Effects – If obtained in combat, it will be covered in blood, lowering charisma until washed at a bathhouse or tailor.
Best Way to Get the Jester’s Disguise
For the full outfit quickly, kill the bandit at a roadside camp and loot it.
For an alternative method, steal Jester’s Disguise 2 from the tax collector’s chest (requires lockpicking).
For unique versions, win the Kuttenberg Tournament multiple times.
If you prefer to buy it, check tailors in major cities for available pieces.
