Time matters in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. If you’re late, people will get mad. If you’re too early, you’ll stand around awkwardly like a medieval weirdo. So, knowing how to check the time and—more importantly—skip it when needed is a must.

How To Check The Time

Unlike real life, there’s no fancy wristwatch or smartphone. Instead, you can check the time by opening the wait menu. Here’s how:

  • PlayStation: Touchpad

  • Xbox: View Button

  • PC: Press "T" (T for Time, makes sense)

This brings up a big ol' 24-hour wheel, showing when the sun rises and sets, as well as what time it is right now. You don’t have to actually wait—just open the menu, check the time, and go about your business.

How To Wait (And Skip Time)

Sometimes, you just need to pass the time—maybe a shop isn’t open, maybe your quest guy is still snoring, or maybe you’re just avoiding doing actual gameplay. To wait:

  1. Open the wait menu.

  2. Choose how many hours you want to skip.

  3. Confirm, and watch the hours fly by.

A quick warning: waiting drains hunger and exhaustion. Meaning, if you sit around for 10 hours, don’t be surprised when Henry starts complaining that he’s starving and about to pass out.

Other Ways To Pass Time

If waiting like a statue doesn’t sound fun, there are other ways to advance time:

1. Sleeping (The Best Way)

If you have a bed, use it. Sleeping restores your energy, helps heal wounds, and lets you save your game for free. Plus, it doesn’t make you ridiculously hungry like the wait feature does.

2. Fast Traveling (Kinda Unreliable)

When you fast travel, time moves forward naturally. A small wheel shows how much time is passing. The problem? You don’t get to control how long it takes—so if you just wanted to skip a couple of hours, this isn’t the best choice.

3. Standing Around Like A Fool (Worst Option)

Technically, you can just do nothing and let time pass in real-time. But unless you really want that authentic medieval waiting experience, it’s better to just use the wait feature and deal with the hunger.

Final Thoughts

Time in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is both your best friend and your worst enemy. If you master waiting, sleeping, and fast traveling, you’ll never miss an important moment again (unless you just forget, which—let’s be honest—will still happen).
