Unarmed Master Strikes exist in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, but for some reason, they are disabled by default. NPCs can use them, but players can’t—unless you install a mod to enable them. Here’s how to make it so that you can unarmed master strike in KCD2, but note that mods are required and console players, unfortunately, are out of luck for the time being because of this.

Note: If you’re not comfortable downloading mods then this may not be for you.

Step 1: Download the Mod

Since unarmed Master Strikes were cut from the game, you’ll need a mod to bring them back.

  1. Go to the mod page on Nexus.

  2. Download the mod file.

Step 2: Install the Mod

  1. Navigate to your Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Steam directory.

    • Default location:

      C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance2

  2. Inside the game folder, create a new folder called "Mods" (if it doesn’t already exist).

  3. Extract the downloaded mod file into the "Mods" folder.

Step 3: Unlock the Unarmed Master Strike Perk

  • Once the mod is installed, you’ll need to unlock the Master Strike perk in the Unarmed skill tree for it to work.

  • The perk is called "Start 'Em Up", and it specifically mentions Master Strikes in unarmed combat—suggesting it was originally intended to be in the game.

How to Perform an Unarmed Master Strike

Once the mod is active and you have the perk:

  1. Time your block perfectly when an opponent punches you.

  2. If executed correctly, your character will counter with a Master Strike, knocking the enemy off balance.

  3. Works best against other unarmed enemies (like in fistfights or brawls).

Final Blurb

For some reason, KCD2 left unarmed Master Strikes unfinished, but with this mod, you can finally use them just like NPCs do. Console players are out of luck (for now), but if Warhorse Studios patches it in officially, this could become a standard mechanic.

Until then—happy brawling!
