Finding Ignatius the Ram can be frustrating if you don’t know where to look. The game doesn’t tell you exactly where he is, and searching through a field of identical sheep isn’t exactly efficient. Here’s how to find Ignatius and lead him up the hill without losing your patience in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Note: Go to this guide if he won’t follow you.

Where to Find Ignatius

Ignatius is located near the Shepherd’s hut, inside or just outside the sheep pen. Unlike the other sheep, when you approach him, his name will appear in the bottom right of the screen as "Ignatius", instead of just "Ram" or "Sheep."

To make sure he follows you, interact with him while holding the carrot the shepherd gave you. Do not eat the carrot or use it elsewhere—Ignatius won’t budge without it. Once he’s attached to you, he’ll follow wherever you go.

How to Lead Ignatius Up the Hill

Leading Ignatius is not as simple as sprinting up the hill. If you run too fast, he’ll get confused and stop following. Instead, follow this method:

  1. Walk forward about ten to twenty yards, then stop and turn around.

  2. Wait for Ignatius to catch up, then move forward again.

  3. Repeat this process until you reach the Y-shaped tree at the top of the hill.

  4. If he stops following you, run back to him, and he should start moving again.

Once at the tree, open your inventory and drop the carrot on the ground. Ignatius will eat it, and you’ll get a prompt to hide in the bushes nearby.

What Happens Next?

  • Wolves will appear, and you can either fight them off to save Ignatius or leave him to his fate.

  • The shepherd will be upset if Ignatius dies, but it won’t fail the quest.

  • No matter what, Mutt is not part of this pack, so Ignatius may have sacrificed himself for nothing.

Now that you know where to find Ignatius and how to lead him properly, at least you won’t have to chase a lost sheep all over the countryside. Whether he survives or not… well, that’s up to you.
