The Kuttenberg Tournament is a side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 that gives you a chance to prove your sword skills, earn some solid rewards, and maybe even make a name for yourself. The Kuttenberg Swordsman’s Brotherhood is hosting the event, and the town council has given it their blessing. Here’s a quick quest guide and walkthrough:
How to Start the Quest
Find Menhard von Frankfurt – He’s in the southwest corner of Kuttenberg, near the Kuttenberg Swordfighting Hall.
Talk to Menhard – Choose the dialogue option “About the Kuttenberg tournament…” to get details.
Pay the entry fee – Hand over 100 Groschen to sign up.
Wait for the tournament – The quest officially begins.
Walkthrough

After paying 100 Groschen, you’ll need to wait a few days for the tournament to start.
The tournament location will be marked with a green B on your map.
2. Arrive at the Tournament
Once the time arrives, head to the tournament grounds.
A cutscene will play, showing fighters preparing for battle.
You can borrow gear if needed.
3. Fight in the Tournament
When it’s your turn, head to the red banner corner to get ready.
The fight begins—use your best sword skills and win the duel.
If victorious, collect your rewards from the chests.
4. Finish the Tournament
You’ll need to wait until the entire tournament ends before leaving.
(Optional) If you borrowed tournament gear, return it afterward.
If you won the sword and shield category, collect your extra prize.

Tips for Winning
Train Beforehand – If your swordplay is rusty, spend some time practicing.
Use Good Armor – Borrowed gear is decent, but better equipment gives an edge.
Be Patient in Fights – Blocking and countering is smarter than spamming attacks.
Feint and Clinch – Trick opponents with feints and overpower them in close combat.
Winning the Kuttenberg Tournament is a great way to test your skills, earn money, and gear up. Whether you fight for the challenge or the rewards, it’s an event worth entering.
