Making MK in Longvinter isn’t just about what you sell—it’s about where you sell it. While James will buy almost anything, he won’t always pay top dollar. If you want the best prices, you’ll need to find the right vendor for the job. Here’s a breakdown of where to sell your goods and maximize your profits.

James: The General Store Vendor

James is the easiest vendor to find, located at various Points of Interest and Sgt. Lakes Outpost. He’ll buy almost anything, but don’t expect the best rates.

How to Sell to James:

  • Open your inventory.

  • Select the items you want to sell.

  • Click “Sell Items.”

  • Accept the disappointment when you realize he underpays for nearly everything.

James is convenient, but if you’re looking to make serious MK, you’ll want to check out specialty vendors instead.

Outposts: Where the Real Money Is

Specialty vendors offer better prices for specific types of items. If you’re willing to travel, you can make a lot more MK by selling wisely.

Sgt. Lakes Outpost Vendors

  • A’s Farming Shops – Buys farm-related items.

  • Kyrre’s Equipment – Deals in tools and gear.

  • Sgt. Lake’s Kitchen – Pays for food-related goods.

Compendium Vendors (Unlock after completing compendium sections)

  • Sgt. Lake (Fish Vendor) – Best place to sell fish.

  • Angel (Plant & Turret Vendor) – Pays more for plants and turrets.

  • Filemon (Weapons & Feathers Vendor) – Great for selling weapons and feathers.

Other Outposts & Vendors

If you’re looking for even better deals, here are more locations worth visiting:

  • Arthur’s Outpost (25°S, 17°E) – Buys common fish, wheat, and blackberries.

  • Filemon’s Outpost (14°S, 26°E) – Another option for weapons and feathers.

  • Heimo & Rose (2°N, 25°E) – General traders.

  • Henry’s Fishing Docks (19°S, 24°W & 23°S, 28°E) – The best payout for fish.

  • Jax’s Outpost (12°S, 24°W) – General trading post.

  • Mrs. Snow’s Outpost (24°S, 2°E) – May be better for winter-related items.

  • Sirola’s Secret Shop (10°N, 8°E) – If you can find it, you might get special deals.

  • Tim’s Outpost (3°N, 24°W) – Another solid trading post.

Final Tips

  • Sell to the right vendor – Outposts and specialty vendors pay better than James.

  • Unlock compendium vendors – These traders offer some of the best prices in the game.

  • Avoid James unless necessary – He’s great for quick cash but not for maximizing profits.

Finding the right vendor takes a little effort, but the extra MK is worth it. Happy trading!
