MegaBonk Changes | Update 1.0.12 Guide
MegaBonk

MegaBonk’s newest patch brings leaderboard fixes, balance changes, and a tougher final swarm. If you’ve noticed slower FPS, corrupted saves, or endless runs that never end, this update addresses all of it.

What Changed in MegaBonk Update 1.0.12

Update 1.0.12 fixes broken leaderboards, improves performance, and rebalances key weapons and passives. The final swarm now ends long survival runs faster, and save files no longer break after crashes.

Leaderboards

Leaderboards were fully repaired after several days of downtime. Known cheaters were banned from all global boards, and the All Leaderboards button was removed until new filters are added for specific characters and modes.

Final Swarm

The final swarm got a full rework. The previous meta made players sit for five-hour runs at 1 FPS. That’s gone. The swarm now scales harder, adds new ghosts, and punishes stationary builds that relied on executes or black holes.

Game Updates

  • Megachad’s Theme is now in the soundtrack.

  • FPS is smoother when using Dexecutioner or Black Hole.

  • Save files no longer corrupt after crashes or Alt-F4 exits.

Weapon Fixes

  • Spaceman’s passive correctly gives XP per level.

  • Black Hole hitboxes are fixed to normal size.

  • Spiky Shield stacks correctly again.

  • Weapons like Sword, Axe, and Dexecutioner now fire properly even with high duration stats. Projectile limit bugs have been removed, giving every weapon a small buff.

Balance Changes

  • Chaos Tome rewards increased by 50 percent.

  • Rolly Bones enemies in the Desert move slower.

  • Black Hole default size increased by 20 percent, but its proc coefficient lowered from 0.9 to 0.7.

  • Bush’s Marksman passive cooldown now drops by 0.4 seconds every 10 levels, reaching 1 second at level 100.

  • Joe’s Dagger max scaling capped at 200 damage per minute per dagger. This keeps it strong early and mid game but stops extreme late-game scaling.

  • XP Tome bonus reduced from 9 percent to 7 percent. The dev said this may revert later based on player feedback.

Future Updates

The next patch will add a particle opacity slider, a full map with fog of war, better hover info for weapon stats, and quest tracking from the pause menu. Larger updates will follow with multiplayer, new maps, new weapons, and more characters.

Final Blurb

MegaBonk 1.0.12 fixes leaderboards, stabilizes saves, and cuts down on overpowered builds that broke long runs. Most weapons perform better, the endgame is smoother, and leaderboard play finally feels fair again.
