PEAK Game Secrets

Written by Jason B. | PEAK

PEAK hides several subtle secrets or useful interactions that most players miss when playing the game. Here are some things you may have missed while playing the game so far.

Hidden Environmental Interactions

Statue near the summit

Behind the final peak, there's a statue hidden slightly off-path near the summit. It's always present and may play into endgame lore or revival, though it serves no clear mechanical purpose yet.

Hot springs warm you during storms

In snowy zones, pools with capybaras work as hidden heat sources. Sitting inside them protects you from freezing during blizzards, no item needed.

Lanterns still work inside backpack

If you activate a lantern and store it in your backpack, it continues to give off light. This lets you save hands for climbing while keeping your area lit.

Mechanical Exploits and Edge Cases

Mid-air medkit revive

You can revive from fatal falls by using a medkit during the drop. Start healing before impact. The progress continues even after hitting the ground, letting you instantly stand up if timed right.

Vine swing saves stamina

Grabbing a vine or chain mid-fall preserves momentum. If the far side is lower or level, you can swing all the way across with zero stamina loss.

Backpack pull through gaps

If a space looks too tight to squeeze through, pull out your backpack while walking into it. As long as your feet pass the gap, the backpack animation can force you the rest of the way through.

Stamina System Quirks

Cooked medkits give stamina

Any item you can eat, including bandages and medkits, will grant bonus reserve stamina when cooked. This stacks with foods like honey or mushrooms.

Lollipop lunge cancels

Lollipops let you bypass lunge cooldowns. Spamming Shift and Left-Click together lets you climb huge distances rapidly, far beyond the usual stamina limits.

Final Blurb

These secrets make a major difference once you know how to use them. They’re all based on real game behavior, not speculation. Explore the map with these in mind and you’ll notice hidden depth in almost every run.

FAQ

Is the statue at the summit tied to an ending?

No confirmed function, but it’s always there and may relate to story or revival.

Can you revive from any fall using a medkit?

Only if you time the heal right before impact. The medkit bar must finish before you blackout.

Do lanterns actually help inside your backpack?

Yes, if they’re turned on first. They stay lit and provide full illumination.

Are capybaras just for looks?

No, the pools they sit in give warmth and protect from blizzard effects.
