PEAK Shore Level Tips & Guide

Written by Jason B.

The Shore is the first level in PEAK and acts as your starting zone. It’s mostly calm, but still has a few hazards and important items you don’t want to miss.

Here’s what to know.

Loot Everything on the Shore First

You’ll wake up on a beach surrounded by luggage. Open every bag you can to grab food, rope, bandages, and other supplies.

There’s also a backpack nearby that gives you extra carry space. Grab it right away. If you spot a bugle or Bing Bong, feel free to take them too... they help with Steam achievements but are optional.

Avoid the flare unless you're on Ascent 4 or higher.

Poison Hazards

As you move toward the mountain, you’ll run into jellyfish on the sand. These will poison you on contact.

Later, you’ll also see purple plants that do the same. Go around them if possible. Poison drains stamina fast, and you’ll need every bit of it for climbing.

What to Prioritize

Don’t hoard too much food. There’s plenty throughout the game.

Focus on finding rope tools, pitons, and rare items. If you’re lucky, you might even find a legendary early on.

Use bridges and side paths to reach extra luggage, but don’t take unnecessary risks. One bad fall can waste your supplies.

The First Mountain Climb

The final goal is to reach the top of the mountain ahead. It’s not a hard climb, but you’ll want to watch your stamina and avoid risky jumps.

At the summit, you’ll find a campfire, a batch of luggage, and the Statue, which gives you a free legendary item. This ends the Shore level and sets you up for the Tropics.

Final Blurb

The Shore is easy if you take your time. Loot everything, dodge the poison, and don’t overpack.

It’s your best shot at prepping for what comes next... and it gets a lot worse from here.
