All Cars | The Precinct Guide

The Precinct gives you a surprising amount of freedom when it comes to vehicles. Whether you're sticking with official police rides or commandeering random street cars in the middle of a pursuit, there’s a good mix of options. Some are unlocked through leveling up, others are just out there on the streets waiting for you to take the wheel; lights optional.

Below is a full guide to every vehicle in the game, including all known ACPD units, civilian vehicles, and emergency rides.

All ACPD Cars

These are your standard-issue police vehicles. Most of them unlock as you rise through the ranks, and each one comes with that classic blue-and-white livery so people know who’s technically in charge.

Vehicle Unlock Requirement
Police Cruiser Default (start of game)
Police Helicopter Default (start of game)
4×4 Vehicle Reach Recruit Rank 3
Station Wagon Reach Police Officer Rank 2
Pickup Truck Reach Police Officer Rank 9
Riot Van Reach Police Officer Rank 17
Police Buzzard GTX Reach Police Officer Rank 20

Each of these vehicles handles a bit differently. The Riot Van is great for crowd control, while the Buzzard GTX is basically a rocket disguised as a patrol car.

All Civilian Cars

Civilian rides are the wild cards. You’ll find them scattered across Averno City, and you can take control of most of them once you unlock the Commandeer skill. Most of these are rare vehicles, which means if you want the “Hidden in the Hood” achievement, you’ll need to find them all.

Here’s the list of all civilian cars:

  • Cobalt Stallion

  • Commandeered

  • Emerald Strike

  • Extra Woodie

  • FrostFire

  • Gran Detroit Turbo

  • Midnight Inferno

  • Red 77

  • Stampede

  • The Fugitive

  • The Patriot

Only the “Commandeered” vehicle is common — the rest are rarer, and can sometimes be tied to specific districts or missions. Keep your eyes open and be ready to jump in when you see something unique drive by.

All Emergency Cars

So far, there’s only one emergency vehicle in the game outside of standard ACPD rides:

  • Ambulance

That’s it. More may show up in future updates, but for now, it’s a short list.

How to Complete the “We’ll Pay for the Damage” Achievement

This one’s for the collectors. To unlock “We’ll Pay for the Damage,” you need to commandeer every vehicle in the game, which includes all civilian, emergency, and ACPD rides.

Some won’t be available until later levels, so if it’s not popping yet, keep ranking up. Make sure you’ve grabbed each rare civilian car at least once, even if it’s just for a quick joyride around the block.

Final Blurb

Doesn’t matter if you’re rocking a souped-up GTX or just yanked a Woody off the curb, The Precinct wants you to explore the city on your own terms. Just unlock the Commandeer skill, rank up to grab those ACPD exclusives, and keep an eye out for rare rides. Every car counts.

FAQ

Q: How do I unlock the ability to take civilian cars?
You need the Commandeer skill from the upgrades menu. It costs two upgrade points to unlock the vehicle skill tree and the ability itself.

Q: Are there any vehicle skins or customizations?
No custom skins at the moment, but each car has its own unique design and stats.

Q: Do all ACPD vehicles have sirens?
Yes, once you’re in, Cordell slaps a siren on the hood. That makes it an official police vehicle.

Q: Are civilian vehicles faster than police ones?
Some are. Vehicles like the Buzzard GTX and Gran Detroit Turbo are noticeably faster than your starter cruiser.
