Some heroes in Marvel Rivals have abilities that can auto-lock onto enemies, making them easier to target and attack. Here is a list of the heroes with lock-on abilities and how to use them.

How to Lock On

  1. Choose a Hero with Lock-On Abilities

    • Only some heroes have abilities that can automatically lock-on. See the list below.

  2. Activate the Ability

    • Activate/use the hero’s lock-on ability.

    • Once activated, the ability will automatically target enemies in range of it.

Heroes with Lock-On Abilities

  1. Cloak and Dagger
Their abilities automatically lock onto enemies. This allows attacks, like Shadow Daggers, to home in on targets even if they move.

Example: When throwing daggers, they follow enemies until they hit.

  2. Scarlet Witch
How It Works: Her primary attack, Chaos Control, is a beam that locks onto a single enemy, causing continuous damage as long as the target remains in range.
Example: The energy beam will track a target even if it moves around obstacles.

  3. Namor
How It Works: His Aquatic Dominion spawns autonomous creatures that lock onto nearby enemies.
Example: Place the spawn in battle and it will attack any enemy within its range.

  4. Star-Lord
How It Works: His Galactic Legend ability enables free flight while his attacks automatically lock onto visible enemies.
Example: While flying, Star-Lord’s shots track enemies, letting you focus almost entirely on moving around.

  5. Rocket Raccoon
How It Works: His C.Y.A. Amplifier buffs teammates and deploys turrets that automatically target enemies.
Example: Deploy a turret, and it locks onto enemies within its attack radius.

  6. Venom
How It Works: His Feast of the Abyss locks onto enemies in its path as he emerges from the ground to attack.
Example: When activated, Venom moves underground and pops up to attack enemies near him automatically.

  7. Hawkeye
How It Works: His Hunter’s Sight captures afterimages of enemies and locks onto them.
Example: Damaging an afterimage transfers the damage to the actual enemy.

  8. Magneto
How It Works: His Mag-Cannon targets enemies and fires metallic projectiles that home in.
Example: When charged, the cannon sends focused blasts to enemy positions automatically.

  9. Doctor Strange
How It Works: His Eye of Agamotto locks onto the souls of enemies, transferring damage dealt to the soul directly to their physical bodies.
Example: Once their soul is separated, all hits are transferred to their main health pool.

  10. Iron Man
How It Works: His Armor Overdrive empowers his weapons and they auto-target enemies.
Example: During Overdrive, both his Repulsor Blasts and Unibeam lock onto enemy players.
