Can You Fast Forward or Skip Time in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

If you’re hoping for a “fast forward time” or skip time button like in other games, the ability to fast forward time in AC Shadows is, unfortunately, not there. You have to play through time the old-fashioned way — by waiting. Like a peasant. One in-game day takes about 1 real-life hour, with half of that being day and the other half being night. So if you want to sneak around in the dark, you either twiddle your thumbs or go find something else to do while the sun sets.
There’s no in-game option to skip ahead to nighttime for stealth missions, but we’ll explain and talk about your options a bit more below.
Why Isn't There a Time Skip?
It seems Ubisoft left out this feature on purpose. Players can change seasons (with limits), so there is a time system in place — just not for the time of day. You have to wait for season timers to count down before changing seasons. Some folks think that if you could fast forward time freely, it would mess with resource deliveries and other time-based systems.
Of course, this doesn’t make stealth fans feel any better when they’re trying to sneak into a camp at high noon.
Is There a Workaround?
If you’re on PC, trainers or Cheat Engine will probably let you mess with the clock once modders get to it. These tools often include time control features, so keep an eye out. Console players? Sorry, you’re just stuck with watching the sun crawl across the sky.
Final Blurb
In a game built around hiding in the shadows, not being able to choose when shadows exist feels like someone forgot to finish a feature. For now, either deal with stealth in daylight or go make a sandwich while waiting for nightfall. Let's just hope some future patch or mod throws us a bone.
