Dominance of the Tundra Guide - Last Epoch (1.2)

Dominance of the Tundra is a Unique Iron Casque that turns your defensive Evade into an offensive avalanche. When you Evade, it casts Glacier along your movement path — for every class. That includes Sentinel, Mage, Acolyte, Primalist, and Rogue.
This doesn’t come free. Each Glacier cast consumes the same amount of mana as if you manually cast it. So if you’re not careful, you’ll tumble yourself straight into an empty mana bar.
How to Dominance of the Tundra
You can farm it directly from Ignixiros in the Antipode Rift Woven Echo. The drop chance is guaranteed at 100% — which is rare for Uniques.
Required Level: 60
Legendary Potential Efficiency: Effective drop scaling starts at Level 70
LP Chances:
LP1: 1 in 5
LP2: 1 in 74
LP3: 1 in 3,725
LP4: LOL, good luck (1 in 7.4 million)
Key Stats
Here’s what you get on top of the Glacier-evade synergy:
+400 Flat Armor (big chunk of defense)
+6 to 12 Strength
+6 to 12 Intelligence
30–60% Reduced Bonus Damage Taken from Crits
25% Increased Evade Distance
It turns you into a slippery glacier-yeeting tank with high mobility, crit protection, and hybrid scaling.
Best Builds for It
This isn’t a “slot it into anything” item — it shines in specific setups:
1. Glacier-Focused Mage Builds
You’re already stacking Cold, Glacier, and mana regeneration.
You now get a free Glacier every time you dodge.
With proper investment in Evade cooldowns or boots that give Evade on hit, this can basically make Glacier auto-cast nonstop.
2. Hit-and-Run Primalist or Rogue
Want AoE while repositioning?
Combine this with a Cold-based setup and capitalize on burst procs while dodging.
3. Sentinel Evade Builds (less common)
Sentinel doesn’t typically scale Glacier, but if you’re doing meme builds around Freeze or Cold retaliation, this adds flair.
Synergy Tips
High Mana Regen or Mana Efficiency is critical. You’re casting Glacier every time you roll.
Cold Damage and Freeze Rate Multiplier are huge for scaling the surprise Glaciers.
Combine with Glacier nodes that reward casting multiple times or split waves.
Boots or Idols that give Evade on Hit or Kill can help you chain Glacier explosions like a dodging machine gun.
Final Blurb
Dominance of the Tundra turns your fancy little backflip into a battlefield-wide snowstorm. It’s goofy, it’s fun, and it actually slaps — if you build around it properly. Just remember: Evade is no longer free, and neither are your mana bills. Dodge wisely, Glacier often.
