Fellowship Game How to Get Gems

Fellowship

Once you reach higher leagues in Fellowship, gems become one of the most important ways to strengthen your hero. They boost stats, unlock new effects, and help define your build. Here’s how gems work, how to get them, and what to do once you start collecting.

How to Get Gems in Fellowship

Gems begin dropping once you reach Contender 7 and above. You’ll find them as end-of-dungeon rewards. At Adept League and higher, your gear can also start rolling with gem sockets. These sockets let you slot gems for passive bonuses that scale as you upgrade them.

Gem Tiers and Upgrades

There are four main gem tiers: Small, Large, Splendid, and Flawless. Small gems drop from dungeons, while higher tiers must be crafted by combining three gems of the same color and tier. Each tier increases the amount of gem power granted.

At the Jeweler in the Stronghold, you can:

  • Combine three lower-tier gems into a higher-tier one

  • Split a gem into lower tiers

  • Change a gem’s color using Aether items

Gem Colors and Their Effects

Each gem color has its own stat focus. You can mix colors for variety or stack one color for stronger bonuses.

  • Ruby increases strength and stamina, great for survivability and boss fights

  • Amethyst focuses on critical chance and critical damage

  • Topaz boosts haste and healing at low health

  • Emerald improves expertise and cooldown reduction

  • Sapphire enhances Spirit of Heroism duration and power

  • Diamond provides balanced bonuses to all secondary stats

Gem Sockets and Gear

Gem sockets appear on equipment starting in Adept League. Each socket adds flat gem power equal to the tier of the gem placed. Items with sockets can’t also have set bonuses, so you’ll need to choose between raw power or set effects. Some sockets have a bonus modifier that increases gem power by up to 35 percent. Legendary gear always drops with a socket and a full 100 percent gem power bonus.

Gem Power and Progression

Your total gem power unlocks special effects within the Gem Power tab of your character sheet. Each color track has ten effects split into two ranks. Rank 1 gives basic bonuses, while Rank 2 replaces them with stronger versions. Investing deeper in one color gives better results than spreading your power across all six.

Final Blurb

Gems are Fellowship’s long-term upgrade system and one of the main reasons to keep pushing higher tiers. Once you reach Contender 7, start collecting small gems and build your way up through the Jeweler. Mix colors, plan your socketed gear, and watch your hero’s stats grow past anything gear alone can offer.
