FragPunk is a tactical 5v5 shooter, and if you’ve played Valorant or Counter-Strike, the weapon lineup will feel familiar. But unlike those games, there’s no in-match currency system—weapons are selected based on availability per side, and your choices may be influenced by Shard Cards.

Some weapons shine more than others, and this tier list breaks down the best guns in FragPunk as of March 2025 (Season 0).

Best Primary Weapons in FragPunk

S-Tier – The best weapons in the game.

  • Discipline – A highly accurate rifle with almost no recoil, perfect for mid-range fights. Great for players who prefer spraying over tapping.

  • Fever – A hard-hitting assault rifle similar to the AK-47 or Vandal. High damage but requires strong recoil control.

  • Resolver – The best sniper rifle, but with a catch—it doesn’t one-shot to the body beyond 17 meters. If you land your shots, it’s still deadly.

A-Tier – Great weapons, but with some limitations.

  • Boom Broom – A fully automatic shotgun that’s perfect for close-range fights. Works well with Shard Cards that buff movement or reveal enemies.

  • Bad Reputation – A marksman rifle that deals 132 headshot damage at 15 meters, making it a great choice for mid-to-long-range combat.

  • Highlife – A lighter sniper rifle, requiring a headshot or two body shots to secure a kill. It’s solid but requires accuracy.

  • My Way – An alternative to the assault rifles, featuring a similar fire rate to Discipline but with higher recoil.

B-Tier – Decent but not always the best choice.

  • Clampdown – A submachine gun designed for close-quarters fights. Loses accuracy beyond 10 meters.

  • Mad Dog-S – A budget version of Discipline with a faster fire rate but higher recoil.

  • Bad Moon-S – A marksman rifle with a faster fire rate but lower damage than Bad Reputation. Can work, but assault rifles are often more reliable.

C-Tier – Hard to justify using.

  • Ghost Pepper – A light machine gun with a wind-up delay before firing, making it unreliable in sudden fights.

  • Meat Maker – A pump-action shotgun that can one-shot enemies, but is mostly outclassed by Boom Broom and Clampdown.

Final Blurb

FragPunk’s weapon system is unique, as there’s no economy system like in other tactical shooters. Some weapons are only available on attack or defense, so learning multiple guns is important.

If you want reliable all-rounders, stick to Fever, Discipline, and Resolver for primaries, and Blaster/Flasher or Vicious for secondaries. And remember, Shard Cards can completely change how a weapon performs, so keep an eye on the modifiers each round.
