If you’re crafting the Meow weapon or other advanced items in Palworld, you’ll need Predator Cores. These rare drops come from Predator Pals and are essential for several recipes. Here’s everything you need to know to find and farm them.

Why Do You Need Predator Cores?

Predator Cores are currently used for five recipes in Palworld. Here’s what they’re for:

• Meow (Legendary Weapon): A powerful weapon from the Terraria collaboration.

• Inventory Pouches: Each pouch adds three inventory slots, giving you two extra rows when fully crafted.

Since only 40 Predator Cores are needed for all current recipes, you won’t have to farm endlessly unless future updates add more uses.

How to Find Predator Pals

• Start at Key Locations

  • Sakima Island: A great farming spot. Head to the small end of the island, where Predator Pals often spawn.

  • Sakurajima Island: Another hotspot, with multiple Predator Pals to target.

  Use an interactive map (search online) to pinpoint other locations if needed.

• Fly in and Out of Render Distance

  • Predator Pals don’t spawn every time. They appear based on a percentage chance when you enter their area.

  • If no Predator Pal appears, leave the area and return. Flying back and forth works best.

• Check for Ominous Signs

  • The music changes to a spooky, eerie tune when a Predator Pal spawns.

  • Look for glowing red Pals—they’re easy to spot, especially at night.

Tips for Farming Predator Cores

• Guaranteed Spawns with Patience:

  • On some maps, leaving the render distance and coming back almost always triggers a spawn.

  • If you’re struggling, fast travel out of the area, return, and try again.

• Drop Rates:

  • Predator Cores drop in varying amounts depending on the Pal's level:

    • Level 55-60 Predator Pals can drop 9-12 cores at higher drop rates.

    • On normal settings, expect 1-4 cores per kill.

  • Adjust your settings if possible to maximize farming efficiency.

• Fast Locations to Try:

  • Sakima Island: Level 55 Predator Pals like Idan often drop 9-12 cores.

  • F-Break Island: Level 60 Predator Pals, such as Suit Seederons, drop high amounts.

How Many Predator Cores Do You Need?
