If you're playing as Phyllis in Shadow of the Depth, you’ll notice something special happens during her ranged attacks—an extra, powerful shot called Fury Strike. It’s not just for show. Fury Strikes are a key part of her damage, especially if you want to keep your enemies at a nice, arrow-filled distance.

Here’s how they actually work.

What Is a Fury Strike?

Fury Strikes are special attacks that Phyllis unleashes after a certain number of regular shots—or after charging a single strong shot. They hit harder than normal arrows and are great for clearing mobs or chunking down tougher enemies.

Two Ways to Trigger Fury Strikes

1. Autofire Mode

  • Hold down the attack button.

  • Phyllis fires arrows rapidly.

  • After several shots in a row, a Fury Strike automatically fires.

2. Charge Mode

  • Hold the attack button to begin charging.

  • Release it after a brief moment.

  • A single, stronger Fury Strike will be fired.

Both modes deal solid damage, but Charge Mode gives you control over timing—great for lining up headshots or prepping before enemies get close.

Do Fury Strikes Cost Anything?

Firing arrows (including Fury Strikes) uses up your ammo, but don’t worry—Phyllis automatically reloads after a short break in firing. No manual reload needed. Just don’t panic when the arrows stop for a second.

When Should You Use Each Mode?

  • Autofire is best for consistent pressure and crowd clearing. You’ll get Fury Strikes regularly just by holding the button.

  • Charge Mode is good for quick bursts, tight timing, or when you’re setting up a headshot.

Final Blurb

Fury Strikes are what make Phyllis feel great to play. If you're just tapping the attack button, you're missing out. Hold it down, mix in some charges, and you’ll be triggering those big hits like a forest-trained pro with an anger problem.
