How Overtime Works in FragPunk

FragPunk has one of the most intense and unique overtime mechanics in any FPS. Instead of just adding extra time or forcing a sudden-death round, overtime turns into a 1v1 elimination battle, where each team sends out one player at a time until one team is completely wiped out.
How Overtime Works
One player from each team fights in a 1v1 match on a small arena map.
The winner stays in, while the loser is eliminated.
The winner carries over any damage taken into the next fight.
The cycle continues until one team is completely eliminated.
This means if your best player is on fire, they could 1v5 the entire enemy team and clutch the game by themselves. But if they take too much damage early, the next enemy might finish them off easily.
How to Win in Overtime
Prioritize your strongest aimers – If someone on your team excels in 1v1 fights, let them go early and try to wipe multiple enemies.
Play smart, not just aggressive – Since damage carries over, surviving with as much HP as possible is key.
Use movement and cover – The small arena maps don’t leave much room for error, so don’t stand still.
Keep up the pressure – If your teammate is on a roll, momentum can win the round before the enemy team even has a chance to recover.
Final Blurb
FragPunk’s overtime is a true test of skill, where one player can carry the whole match if they’re good enough. Whether you love the high-stakes action or just want to watch your teammate try to 1v5 under pressure, overtime always brings the hype.
