Saw that fluffy cat on the inZOI main menu and thought, “Yep, I want that”? Yeah, same. Unfortunately, as of now, you can’t technically adopt a cat—or any pet, really—in inZOI’s early access. But there are still ways to bring some feline vibes into your Zoi’s life.

Can You Adopt a Cat Right in inZOI?
There’s no adoption system just yet. You can’t bring cats home, name them, or have them curl up on your Zoi’s virtual couch. The devs have said pets are a planned feature, but they’re not in the game just yet. A Southeast Asian-inspired cat island called Kucingku is in the works though, so the cats are definitely coming. Just not today.
But You Can Add Cats to Your City
You can't adopt them, but you can make cats appear in your town and hang out in public spaces. Here's how:
Open the Map
Click on ‘City Appearance’ at the top of the screen
Select ‘Animals’
In the bottom left, choose Cats (or any species you want)
Adjust the density — low = a few cats, high = cat parade
They won’t follow you home, but they’ll roam around the city looking majestic and unbothered, as cats do.
Pet Items Are Still a Thing
You can’t own a cat, but you can live like you do. Head into Build Mode, and in the search bar, type ‘pet’. You’ll find things like:
Feeding stations
Cat wheels
Probably a little corner of denial
Set them up in your Zoi’s home and pretend they’ve got an invisible cat living there. It's like owning a ghost pet. Kinda cozy.
Final Blurb
You can’t adopt a cat in inZOI just yet, but you can fill your city with them and decorate your home like one lives there. It’s the illusion of cat ownership—minus the hairballs. Keep an eye out for future updates, because once Kucingku arrives, your Zoi might finally get the purring roommate they deserve.
