How to Feint in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves

Feints let you fake out your opponent by pretending to use a special move without actually doing it.

Note: This mechanic is only available in Arcade Style, so make sure you're not in Modern Style before trying it.

How to Feint

  • Input: R1 + Circle (PlayStation)

  • Optional Direction: Hold → (forward) or ↓ (down) during the input to change movement

That’s it. Simple input with big potential.

What Does Feint Do?

  • Fake a Special Move: Trains your opponent to react and commit to punishes that never come.

  • Reduce Recovery Time: After a normal attack, you can feint to cancel part of the animation and act quicker.

  • Create Combos: Some normals become combo starters when feinted immediately after.

Example Use

Let’s say you hit your opponent with a standing heavy attack. Normally, there’d be a bit of recovery where you’re just standing there. But with a feint, you can cancel that recovery early and immediately go for a grab, jab, or low poke.

It looks stylish and it works.

Final Blurb

Feinting is like telling a lie with your fists. And if you do it right, your opponent will believe every word. If you're in Arcade Style and not using feints, you're leaving damage and pressure on the table.
