How to Get and Make Soap in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, looking clean affects how people treat you. If you walk around covered in dirt and dried blood, NPCs will assume you’re either homeless or up to no good. That’s where Soap comes in.
You can buy it, steal it, or make it yourself. Here’s a simple guide on how to get and make it!
How to Get Soap
Buy It
Soap is cheap and can be found at many general merchants and apothecaries.
The easiest place to buy it is Apothecary Emmerich in Troskowitz.
Steal It
Feeling sneaky? There’s Soap stored on the top floor of the Trosky Bathhouse.
Just make sure nobody is watching before you take it—getting caught stealing Soap is a pretty embarrassing crime.
Craft It Yourself
If you want unlimited Soap, you’ll need an Alchemy Bench and some simple ingredients.
You don’t need the recipe to make Soap—you can just follow the brewing steps below.
How to Craft Soap
Crafting Soap is easy and cheap, making it a great alternative to buying. Once you brew it once, the recipe will be automatically added to your Alchemy book.
Ingredients:
2x Thistle – Common and easy to find in grassy areas.
1x Dandelion – You’ll spot these growing just about anywhere.
1x Charcoal – Can be bought from merchants or found near furnaces.
Oil – The base for your soap (because without oil, you’re just making boiled weeds).
Brewing Process:
Add Oil to the cauldron.
Grind the Thistle and add it to the cauldron.
Boil for 2 turns of the hourglass.
Add the Dandelion and boil for 1 more turn.
Grind the Charcoal and toss it in.
Pour into a phial.
Congratulations—you now have homemade Soap! Use it at a Laundry Spot to clean your clothes for free.
Final Blurb
Buying Soap is convenient, but crafting it is practically free.
Keeping clean helps improve your reputation. Nobody trusts a man covered in filth.
Laundry Spots let you wash for free, but only if you have Soap.
Now go make some, because nothing ruins first impressions like smelling like an unwashed bandit.
