Perk Points are one of the best ways to make Henry stronger, sneakier, or deadlier in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. If you’re just leveling up skills without spending your Perk Points, you’re missing out on big upgrades that could make your life in medieval Bohemia much easier.

Here’s how Perk Points work, how to unlock them, and the best way to use them.

How to Earn Perk Points

Perk Points are tied to your Skills. In KCD2, the more you use a skill, the better it gets.

  • Swing your sword? Your Swordsmanship skill levels up.

  • Sprint across town? Your Vitality increases.

  • Pickpocket a drunk peasant? Your Stealth improves (if you don’t get caught).

Every two skill levels, you earn one Perk Point for that skill.

To check your skill progress:

  1. Open the Player Menu (press P).

  2. Look at your skills under the Stats, Skills, and Combat tabs.

  3. If a skill has a gold star, that means you have unused Perk Points.

How to Unlock Perks

Once you’ve earned a Perk Point, you can spend it on a skill-specific Perk.

  1. Open the Player Menu (P) and find the skill you want to upgrade.

  2. Click the dropdown arrow next to the skill.

  3. If you meet the minimum level requirement, select the Perk you want and press E to unlock it.

Tip: Perks give permanent bonuses and can dramatically improve combat, stealth, and survival.

Best Perks to Pick First

There are a lot of Perks to choose from, but here are some of the best early-game options:

  • Vitality – Sprinter: Sprinting drains less stamina, so you can run away from fights more effectively.

  • Stealth – Sandman: Better knockouts so enemies stay unconscious longer.

  • Swordsmanship – Clinch Master: Win weapon clinches more often in combat.

  • Strength – Mule: Carry more weight, meaning less inventory management stress.

  • Hunting – Butcher: Sell animal meat for more Groschen when hunting.

Tip: Perks are permanent so choose wisely. If you steal a lot, go for Stealth Perks. If you love combat, invest in Strength and Swordsmanship.

Final Tips for Perk Points

  • Spend Perk Points ASAP – There’s no reason to hoard them.

  • Check the requirements – Some Perks require a higher skill level before unlocking.

  • Not every skill has Perks – Only Stats, Skills, and Combat tabs include them.

  • Use Perks to fix weaknesses – Struggling with stamina? Pick Vitality Perks. Losing fights? Upgrade combat Perks.

Mastering Perks and skills makes Henry stronger, faster, and more capable, so don’t ignore them!
