How to Use the Poncho in Haste: Broken Worlds

So you saved up 1,000 Antisparks, marched up to Granny, bought the mysterious Poncho, and thought, Great! Now what? Then the game gave you absolutely no instruction. Classic.

Here’s how to actually equip and use the Poncho, because no, it does not automatically slap itself onto your body.

Step 1: Unlock It

If you bought it from Granny and it disappeared from her menu, you're good. It’s unlocked. You own the Poncho now—even if she’s no longer talking to you. (She does that sometimes. Don’t take it personally.)

Step 2: Equip It Before a Run

You must equip the Poncho before starting a Shard. Here’s how:

  • On Keyboard: Press Tab while standing in the hub area (before starting a run).

  • On Controller: Press the Select button (or equivalent—depends on your setup).

This opens up your Loadout Menu, where you can choose between gear like:

  • Hoverboard

  • Grappling Hook

  • Poncho

Click the Poncho. Equip it. Now you’re good to go.

What Does the Poncho Actually Do?

It’s pretty much just cosmetic, but there might be some unexplained defensive bonus or something. That’s about it. Maybe there is something else it can do (secretly), but as of now we aren’t aware… Unless we just missed something.

Final Blurb

Buying the Poncho is easy. Equipping it? Not so obvious. Just remember to hit Tab (or Select) before diving into a Shard and open the gear menu. Once it’s selected, it’s yours for the whole run. And who knows—maybe next update Granny will start talking again.

If not, enjoy the silent treatment in style.
