Where to Find the Alchemist in Mandragora Whispers of the Witch Tree (Alannah)

Looking to brew up some potions and finally make use of all those weird glowing herbs in your bag? You’ll need to find Alannah, the elusive Alchemist NPC in Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree. She’s not hard to miss—unless you totally miss her, which is surprisingly easy to do.
Here’s how to track her down.

Step 1: Get the Old Wickham Key
This part usually just... happens. The Old Wickham Key shows up during main quest progression, and there’s no big announcement when you get it. If you’re a few hours in, chances are it’s already in your inventory.
Step 2: Go West From the Commander’s Office
Head back to the main town—the one with the Commander. From there, look for a western gate that was previously blocked by guards. With the Old Wickham Key in hand, they’ll finally let you through.
This opens up access to Old Wickham, where Alannah is hiding out.
Step 3: Don’t Miss the Elevator
This is the easy-to-miss part. Keep walking west after the gate and look for an elevator shortcut that leads into the upper ruins. If you don’t take the elevator, you’ll just end up doing laps around the wrong area.
Once you ride it up, explore the new section—Alannah’s workshop is tucked inside that zone.
What Alannah Does
Alannah is the alchemist, which means you can finally start using alchemy and crafting potions, tonics, and all the other little upgrades that make surviving in Mandragora slightly less miserable. She’s your go-to for anything involving flasks and flammable ingredients.
Also, while you're at it, the Cook is hanging out near the grappling hook unlock spot—just in case you’re on a quest for flavor too.
Finding her can be a pain, but once you do, your backpack full of mushrooms will finally have a purpose.
