Johnny The Gob is part of a four-quest chain in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. To access it, you must complete The Jaunt before attending the Semine wedding during the Wedding Crashers main quest. Additionally, you need to finish Canker and Handsome Charlie first. After waiting 24 hours in-game after Handsome Charlie, speak to Gules in Semine to start this quest.

Step 1: Talk to Gules

  • Find Gules in Semine and ask about the next task.

  • He tells you that Johnny and his gang are at Vidlak Pond, the same place you were ambushed before.

  • Gules requests that you spare Johnny if possible.

Step 2: Prepare for Battle

This fight is one of the hardest in the questline due to the number of enemies. Make sure to:

  • Save your game before heading to the fight.

  • Improve your swordfighting skill and get the Gladiator perk (+5 swordfighting bonus).

  • Stock up on potions and food for healing.

  • Equip strong armor with high durability.

  • Bring Mutt to help pull enemies away from the group.

Step 3: Fight Johnny’s Gang

  • Travel to Vidlak Pond, approaching from the south.

  • Keep enemies in front of you to avoid getting surrounded.

  • Use quick, precise attacks instead of long combos.

  • Target non-armored enemies first, then leave Johnny for last.

  • If you deal enough damage and everyone else is dead, Johnny will surrender.

Step 4: Choose Johnny’s Fate

  • Spare Johnny → You get his shield, and Gules is pleased.

  • Kill Johnny → Gules keeps the shield, and he isn’t happy with you.

Step 5: Report Back to Gules

  • Return to Gules and tell him the outcome.

  • After the conversation, the quest is complete.

Final Notes

Johnny The Gob is a tough but rewarding quest. Prepare well, use smart combat tactics, and decide whether to spare Johnny or not. If you keep him alive, you'll earn his shield and keep Gules happy.
