So, you’ve got a prisoner to interrogate in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and your boss, Von Bergow, wants answers. The problem? The prisoner isn’t exactly chatty, and you need to decide whether to be the good cop, bad cop, or medieval cop (i.e., use blunt force).
Your Choices at a Glance
Be Gentle – Ask questions, avoid physical force. Result: You won’t get all the info.
Moderate Force – A few punches and threats, but no overkill. Result: You get all the answers, keep him alive.
Full Torture Mode – Beat him senseless. Result: He dies before spilling everything.
If you want to keep Von Bergow happy and get all the details, moderate force is the way to go. Now, here’s how to do it.
How to Interrogate the Prisoner Without Killing Him
Start by asking where his crew is.
He’ll pretend he doesn’t know, so tell him “We already know anyway!”
He’ll call your bluff—time to punch him (not too hard… yet).
Keep the pressure on.
If he’s still holding out, hit him harder (just enough to make an impression).
When Capon suggests it, grab a hammer to threaten him—this usually does the trick.
He’ll admit they’re hiding in Nebakov (which you probably suspected).
Find out who’s in charge.
Ask about the leader. He’ll claim he doesn’t know—so punch him again.
Eventually, he’ll spill that their leader is Jan.
Ask about Istvan Toth.
When he clams up, use an instrument to torture him lightly (not too much).
He’ll admit Istvan Toth is with them.
Don’t waste time asking about the stolen sword—he doesn’t know.
Dig deeper into the leadership.
When he refuses to say more, DON’T torture him further—he genuinely doesn’t know.
Find out if they have local help.
Pick up a torture instrument again, just as a threat.
Hans Capon will step in and demand a name.
The prisoner finally confesses that Olda Semine is helping them.
Ask why they ambushed Capon.
Tell him you’re not on Von Bergow’s side (he’ll be more willing to talk).
Give him a slap and one last bit of torture to finish the interrogation.
The Aftermath
You’ll lose reputation for using force, but hey, Von Bergow is happy.
You got all four key pieces of information without killing the guy.
The prisoner is probably regretting his life choices, but at least he’s still alive.
So, was the torture necessary? A little bit, yes. But at least you didn’t go full psycho with it.
