Mechs, also known as Break Strikers, are the core of Mecha BREAK. Each mech has a unique combat role, with different strengths and weaknesses. Some are built for speed and precision, while others focus on heavy armor and high damage.
At the start, only Alysnes is available for free. Every other mech requires either Matrix Credits, Corite, or in the case of Inferno, a lot of grinding with Merit Points. Fortunately, you can test any mech before unlocking it by using the Trial feature.
This guide goes over all the mechs in alphabetical order, detailing their roles and how to unlock them (and we included pictures of each as well.. Because they look awesome).
Alysnes (Medium Attacker)
A well-balanced mech that does a bit of everything. Alysnes has decent attack and armor but doesn’t excel in any particular area. This is the starter mech, and every player gets it for free.
Unlock Cost: Free
Aquila (Heavy Sniper)
A long-range powerhouse with good armor and decent control. Aquila is more durable than Narukami but trades some mobility for extra survivability.
Unlock Cost: 21,000 Matrix Credits or 210 Corite
Falcon (Light Attacker)
Built for speed and hit-and-run tactics, Falcon is one of the fastest mechs in the game. Its high mobility makes it deadly in skilled hands but vulnerable if caught.
Unlock Cost: 3,200 Matrix Credits
Hurricane (Ultra-Heavy Defender)
A massive, heavily armored mech designed to take hits and protect teammates. Hurricane has solid team-based abilities but moves slowly.
Unlock Cost: 9,600 Matrix Credits
Inferno (Ultra-Heavy Attacker)
One of the hardest mechs to unlock, Inferno is a devastating heavy hitter that requires a serious grind. Inferno deals massive damage but lacks strong defenses. Unlocking it requires weeks of dedicated playtime.
Unlock Cost: 18,000 Merit Points
Luminae (Light Supporter)
A support mech designed to aid teammates rather than deal damage. Luminae provides healing and buffs, making it valuable in team play but weak in solo combat.
Unlock Cost: 9,400 Matrix Credits
Narukami (Light Sniper)
A fast but fragile sniper mech that relies on positioning and precision. Narukami has excellent long-range capabilities but is one of the weakest in close combat.
Unlock Cost: 6,800 Matrix Credits
Panther (Medium Brawler)
A close-range fighter built for aggressive combat. Panther is strong in one-on-one fights but has low effectiveness in team-based roles.
Unlock Cost: 68,000 Matrix Credits or 450 Corite
Pinaka (Medium Supporter)
A versatile support mech that provides team assistance while still having some combat capability. Pinaka is not as powerful as a full attacker or defender but balances both roles well.
Unlock Cost: 21,000 Matrix Credits or 210 Corite
Skyraider (Medium Attacker)
An aerial combat specialist with strong mid-range attacks. Skyraider has decent team utility but struggles in close-range engagements.
Unlock Cost: 45,000 Matrix Credits or 450 Corite
Stego (Ultra-Heavy Attacker)
A slow but devastating mech with high durability. Stego is designed for dealing heavy damage and soaking up attacks but is easy to target due to its size.
Unlock Cost: 45,000 Matrix Credits or 450 Corite
Tricera (Ultra-Heavy Defender)
A frontline tank that excels in absorbing damage and protecting teammates. Tricera is one of the best mechs for defensive play but lacks strong offensive abilities.
Unlock Cost: 3,200 Matrix Credits
Welkin (Heavy Brawler)
A durable melee-focused mech that specializes in close-range combat. Welkin is slower than Panther but makes up for it with stronger defensive stats.
Unlock Cost: 6,800 Matrix Credits
Best Mechs for Different Playstyles
Some mechs are better suited for aggressive combat, while others focus on defense or support.
For fast attackers, Falcon and Skyraider are good choices. They have high mobility and strong offensive capabilities.
For defensive play, Tricera and Hurricane are the best options. They can take a lot of damage and help control the battlefield.
For snipers, Narukami and Aquila provide the best long-range firepower. Narukami is more mobile, while Aquila is more durable.
For melee brawlers, Welkin and Panther are the strongest. Panther is faster, while Welkin is more of a tank.
For support players, Luminae and Pinaka offer healing and team buffs.
For high-damage attackers, Stego and Inferno deal the most raw power but require good positioning due to their slower movement.
How to Unlock Inferno Faster
Inferno is one of the most difficult mechs to unlock since it requires 18,000 Merit Points instead of Matrix Credits or Corite. Merit Points are earned by completing matches, but the process can take weeks.
To speed things up:
Focus on winning games, as victories earn more Merit Points.
Play daily and weekly missions to stack extra rewards.
Stick to game modes with higher point payouts.
Unless you are grinding consistently, Inferno will take time to unlock.
Final Thoughts
Every mech in Mecha BREAK offers something unique, but not all are easy to unlock. Alysnes is free, but everything else requires in-game currency or Merit Points.
Choosing the right mech depends on your playstyle. Fast players will enjoy Falcon and Skyraider, while those who prefer heavy armor should aim for Tricera or Hurricane. If you want to snipe, Narukami and Aquila are the best picks.
If you are looking for the ultimate challenge, unlocking Inferno is a long grind but rewards you with one of the most powerful mechs in the game.
