Madoka Magica Magia Exedra Tier List

Madoka Magica Magia Exedra Tier List

Written by Jason B.

This Magia Exedra tier list ranks the best characters in the game right now. If you’re not sure who to level or keep, use this list to spot who’s worth investing in and who you can safely skip.

5-star units hold the top ranks. Their stats, Break bonuses, and skill effects make them far more reliable than 4-stars or lower. Until future updates shift the balance, your best bet is to build your team around any top-tier 5-star you can get.

Below is the full Magia Exedra tier list, with characters shuffled for readability and a few moved between tiers based on overall performance.

S+ Tier

Iroha Tamaki (Strada Futuro)

She excels at shredding Break bars while boosting team Crit damage. She fits into nearly any team thanks to her balance of speed, utility, and synergy. Great for both wave clear and boss pressure.

Felicia Mitsuki (Ultra Great Big Hammer)

Easy Breaks, strong stuns, and solid AoE. She helps carry the early game with little setup. Her debuffs make her useful even in support-heavy comps.

Madoka Kaname (Pluvia Magica)

Restores MP and HP while breaking enemies. Her timing-based kit makes her more tactical than others, but when played right, she can carry long fights with ease.

Yachiyo Nanami (Absolute Rain)

Moved up due to consistent healing, buff uptime, and surprising survivability. She performs well in mixed-content stages where teams need more endurance.

Oriki Mikuni (Oracle Ray)

Dropped slightly due to weaker performance in boss fights, but still top-tier for farming. Her stacking buffs reward speed clears and aggressive play.

S Tier

Homura Akemi (Concentrated Missile Fire)

High single-target burst. She shines in short encounters or tight boss phases. Needs protection, but gives results when supported.

Madoka Kaname (Lux Magika)

Dropped from S+ due to overreliance on easy early copies. Still a fantastic AoE Breaker and team support, but less dominant as content scales.

Kikira Kure (Vampire Fang)

Strong crit-focused attacker with sustain. Easy to slot into aggressive teams but suffers in longer fights without support.

Tsuruno Yui (Flame Waltz)

Strong buffer who brings a lot to Break-focused teams. Less flashy, but the stat gains she enables matter.

Mami Tomoe (Tiro Finale)

New addition with decent power and Break bonuses. Not a must-have, but performs well across most team types.

Ren Isuzu (Soul Salvation)

Reliable healer with decent passives. Has less impact in short fights but is solid in sustain comps.

A Tier

Circle of Fire

Strong crit output and decent flexibility. Needs memory setup to perform, but scales well when properly supported.

Glittering Hurricane

Moved down slightly due to underwhelming PvE numbers. Still great for crowd control and AoE chip damage.

Thunder Torrent

Dropped to A due to poor survivability. High AoE burst but easy to replace with sturdier attackers.

Unknown Flying Fire

Tanky unit with disruptive utility. Still figuring out her best role, but she shows promise in control-based teams.

Seraphic Trial

Status effects can swing certain fights, but she lacks consistency. Better in PvP or stall-focused teams.

Yummy Hunter

Simple DPS with moderate value. Good as filler or for combo-based lineups but not a centerpiece unit.

B Tier

Invisible Assassin

Speed-based attacker with low synergy. Works in specific setups, but easily outclassed by higher-tier nukers.

Meteor Punch

Good animations, low output. No standout features to justify a top spot.

Lynx Impact

Dropped due to unreliable scaling. Struggles to contribute unless heavily supported.

Brilliant Beam

Filler damage unit. Easy to get, easy to forget.

Surging Laser

Balanced stats, but nothing unique. A safe backup, not a carry.

Diamond Splash

Takes too long to set up. Performs fine when everything clicks but rarely optimal.

Verdant Shower

Support hybrid that doesn’t offer enough. Skippable if better support options are available.

Nightmare Stinger

PvP potential, but niche outside of that. Difficult to justify outside of a full control comp.

C Tier

Riko’s Kioku

Outdated stats and no standout features.

Hanna’s Kioku

Low damage, slow skills, and no utility.

Mito’s Kioku

Below average everywhere. No identity in a team.

Reira’s Kioku

Even fully leveled, doesn’t scale well. Dead weight in late game.

Kush’s Kioku

Survivability with no value. Only use her if you’ve got no one else.

Himika’s Kioku

Too passive to justify. Weak healing, low utility.

Ashley’s Kioku

Meant to be tanky, but underdelivers. Easily replaced.

Kokoro’s Kioku

Awkward kit that never fully clicks.

Kako’s Kioku

Doesn’t keep up with modern team needs.

Meiyui’s Kioku

Falls off fast after the early game.

Karin’s Kioku

Moved up from D due to niche support value in some beginner comps.

Masara’s Kioku

Still at the bottom. Outclassed in every category.

Seika’s Kioku

Stat stick with no defining role.

Ayame’s Kioku

Can’t contribute meaningfully in any content type.

Natsuki’s Kioku

Only works with rare synergy that most players won’t have early.

D Tier

Yuma’s Kioku

Not worth building past Rank 2.

Konoha’s Kioku

Hard to use well, even harder to justify.

Nanaka’s Kioku

Not viable for any game mode. Placeholder at best.

Asuka’s Kioku

Long cooldowns and low stats. No potential path forward.

Final Blurb

Most 5-star characters in Madoka Magica Magia Exedra will outperform 4-stars in nearly all content right now. Use this tier list to prioritize who to level first and who to skip. If you're starting fresh, stack your team with one or two S+ characters and support them with reliable A-tiers.

FAQ

Are S+ characters better in all content?

Yes, especially during launch. They dominate in both wave clears and boss fights.

Should I level 4-star Kioku units?

Only if you're missing better units. Most 4-stars fall off quickly.

Is Felicia still worth investing in long-term?

Yes. She holds up well across modes and doesn’t need heavy memory synergy.

Why did Lux Magika Madoka drop from S+?

She's still great, but her early advantage comes from free copies. She scales less once you hit harder content.

What’s the most well-rounded unit?

Iroha (Strada Futuro). She fits any team and keeps delivering across all content types.
