Mage Arena Game Modes Guide (Steam)
Mage Arena has two confirmed game modes. These are 4v4 Team Battles and 1v1 Duels. FFA is not in the game at this time.
4v4 Team Battles
Team Battles are the main mode in Mage Arena. Two teams of four fight to capture enemy flags and hold objectives.
Spells like Fire Wall and Thunderbolt work well for blocking choke points. Wormhole and Divine Light give mobility and team support.
Crafting is also important in this mode. It gives access to powerful items that can swing a close match.
1v1 Duels – Mage Colosseum
Duels focus on pure one versus one combat. There is no crafting or team play, only direct spell fighting.
This mode is perfect for practicing voice commands. It is also great for testing new spell combos without distractions.
Blink gives quick dodges and surprise attacks. Fireball remains the most reliable damage option in these fast duels.
Free For All*
*This mode does NOT exist right now… Hopefully they’ll add it soon, though.
Final Blurb
Mage Arena focuses on team and solo combat. 4v4 Team Battles reward teamwork, while 1v1 Duels focus on personal skill.
There is no free for all mode at this time. Mastering both confirmed modes gives the best experience in Mage Arena.
