Oblivion Remastered: Quick Loot Explained

If you were hoping for a Quick Loot system in Oblivion Remastered, you’re out of luck. Unlike modern Bethesda titles or popular mods in Skyrim, there’s no hover-and-loot feature here. You’ll be looting the old-fashioned way—one container, one body, one menu at a time.
But there are still a few ways to make looting a little less painful.
How Looting & Take All Works
Every time you want to grab items, you’ll need to:
Activate the container, corpse, or object.
Open the full loot menu.
Manually select items or press R to Take All.
It’s simple but slow, especially when you’re clearing out dungeons packed with crates, barrels, and fallen enemies.
The Controls
Enter is the default button to select items in menus.
R lets you grab everything at once with Take All.
Strangely, E—which is your interact button outside of menus—does nothing when you're inside loot screens or dialogue. You’ll either be clicking with your mouse or stretching for Enter more than you’d like.
For longtime players used to smoother controls, this feels clunky.
What You Can Do Without Quick Loot
While there’s no Quick Loot, here are your options:
Use Take All (R)
If you don’t care about sorting, grab everything quickly and manage your inventory later.
Learn the Shortcuts:
Get used to using Enter and Tab to navigate menus faster.
Watch for Mods:
The community is already discussing adding a Quick Loot feature or improving keybindings. Keep an eye on Nexus Mods for potential fixes.
Final Blurb
Looting in Oblivion Remastered sticks to its classic roots—slow menus and all. Without a Quick Loot system, you’ll be opening a lot of inventory screens. If you're waiting for a faster solution, modders will likely step in where Bethesda didn’t. Until then, get ready to hit R often and wish E did more than just look pretty.
