OSRS Grid Master Onyx Guide | How to Get Onyx

OSRS Grid Master Onyx Guide | How to Get Onyx
Old School RuneScape (OSRS)

The Onyx is one of the easiest late-game grinds in Grid Master once you know the route. It ties directly into the Amulet of Fury task and a few high-value unlocks that stack perfectly with Golden God and Production Prodigy. The best part is, you can finish it all within a few minutes of setup.

How to Get the Onyx in Grid Master

The Onyx is bought in Mor Ul Rek, the same city where you access the Fight Caves. You’ll find the gem shop near the TzHaar magic store. It costs 300,000 Tokkul, but Grid Master relics make this way faster than in normal OSRS.

The best Tokkul method is selling death runes to the TzHaar rune shop. Start by buying around 30,000 death runes from normal magic stores using Golden God to cover the cost. Then sell them in TzHaar City until you reach 300,000 Tokkul.

Players often combine this trip with the Fight Caves task since both are in the same area, letting you knock out multiple objectives in one run.

How to Cut the Onyx and Make the Amulet of Fury

Once you have the Onyx, activate Production Prodigy before cutting it. The relic adds a chance to double your gem, meaning you might walk away with two Onyx from one cut. It also adds +12 Crafting, which helps meet the 78 Crafting requirement faster.

After cutting the gem, craft it into an Onyx amulet using a gold bar. Then use Level-6 Enchant at 87 Magic to turn it into an Amulet of Fury. This instantly completes the Fury task, which also auto-completes Desert Treasure 2 and unlocks the Ring of Shadows for quick travel and stat boosts.

Recommended Order and Relic Synergy

You can combine this with other nearby unlocks for faster progress.

  • Get 99 Construction to unlock the Khopesh weapon from the Demonic Throne tile. It’s one of the strongest early weapons in Grid Master and pairs well for Kalphite Queen.

  • Farm fruit tree seeds from Mammoths to prepare for the Farmer relic. The two grinds can be done side-by-side while buying your death runes.

  • Use Golden God for infinite money and Production Prodigy for boosted crafting to skip most material grinds.

If you plan to make both the Fury and Regen Bracelet, keep Production Prodigy active for both cuts. The RNG roll can double your Onyx again, saving hours of Tokkul farming.

Quick Step Summary

  • Unlock Mor Ul Rek from Fight Caves access

  • Sell them to the TzHaar rune shop for 300k Tokkul

  • Buy the Onyx from the nearby gem store

  • Activate Production Prodigy before cutting it

  • Make the Onyx amulet and enchant it into a Fury
