PEAK Game Bridges Guide
Bridges in PEAK look safe at first, but most of them aren't. You’ll run into these in every zone, especially in Tropics and Alpine. If they start shaking, you have about five seconds before they collapse.
That includes rope bridges, wood planks, and even some log crossings.
How to Cross Safely
Wait and Watch
If a bridge doesn't move after a few seconds, it's probably stable. But if it shakes even once, start moving fast or step off right away.
Don’t Stack Weight
Only one player should cross at a time. Extra weight or footsteps can trigger the break timer even faster.
Bring a Backup Plan
Always scan for vines, chains, or climbable walls near the bridge. If the bridge breaks, you’ll need a second way across or a quick catch point.
Boost or Throw
If you're in a group, you can boost teammates over gaps instead of risking the bridge. Or throw them items like ropes or pitons so they can make a new path.
Don't Drop Items Midway
Never place your bag or gear on a shaky bridge. If it breaks, it’s gone.
Use Fog Pressure to Push Forward
If the fog’s rising behind you, cross quickly but plan where to land. Panic jumping can lead to injuries or falls, which means wasted healing items or worse.
Final Blurb
Bridges in PEAK are never guaranteed. Watch for shakes, prep an escape plan, and treat every crossing like it might be your last.
Sometimes the best move is not crossing at all.
