The Scoutmaster in PEAK is a rare monster that only shows up under specific conditions. You can summon him in both solo and co-op, but you cannot find him by just exploring randomly.
How to Trigger the Scoutmaster
In solo runs
To summon the Scoutmaster while playing solo, you must find and use the Scoutmaster’s Bugle.
This item is extremely rare and only spawns in solo mode. It can appear in ancient luggage or statue loot, usually near the top of cliffs. Once used, the bugle will spawn the Scoutmaster and give you max stamina briefly.
In co-op runs
If you’re playing with others, the Scoutmaster will appear automatically if someone climbs too far ahead of the rest of the team.
There’s no warning. Once the distance becomes too great, the Scoutmaster spawns near the player who ran ahead and begins the chase.
This is the only way to summon him in multiplayer... no bugle needed.
Why Find the Scoutmaster
Getting caught by the Scoutmaster unlocks the Mentorship Badge. You need to let him throw you to complete it.
You also unlock the Inverted Eyes cosmetic the first time this happens.
If you are only trying to earn both rewards, it’s worth summoning him on purpose, either with the bugle or by splitting from your group.
