In Mirthwood, the quest Of Pearls and Portals has you unlocking four ancient shrines scattered around the world. Each shrine requires specific items to open a portal, and each portal contains a Binding Stone you need to complete the main storyline. Here’s a simple guide to help you through each step:

Shrine Locations and Required Offerings

1. Forest Shrine

  • Location: Old Forest

  • Offerings Needed: Plants—collect Aloe Leaf, Sage, Chamomile, Comfrey, Lavender, and Ginseng Root. These items can be collected by harvesting them in the Blue Meadows or Old Forest area.

2. Mountain Shrine

  • Location: Glasstip Foothills (northwest)

  • Offerings Needed: Animal parts—Rabbit Pelt, Deer Hide, Boar Tusks, Animal Fat, and Wolf Liver. You can find Wolf Liver by defeating the werewolf, Markus, in the swamps.

3. Solitary Shrine

  • Location: Lonely Plains (southeast)

  • Offerings Needed: Metal bars—5 Copper Bars, 5 Iron Bars, 5 Steel Bars, 5 Silver Bars, and 5 Gold Bars. Craft these at a furnace or find them in barrels and chests.

4. Shadowed Shrine

  • Location: Murkwater Marsh (southwest)

  • Offerings Needed: Gemstones—Diamond, Pearl, Amethyst, Ruby, and Emerald. Mine these in caves or in the Glasstip Foothills mines with an upgraded pickaxe.

Steps to Complete the Quest

  1. Gather the Items: Collect the specific items for each shrine. You may need to hunt animals, gather plants, or mine gemstones to get what you need.

  2. Visit Each Shrine: Head to each shrine and place the required offerings to activate its portal.

  3. Enter the Portal: Each portal will take you to a unique area where you can find a Binding Stone. Be prepared to face some enemies or obstacles inside.

  4. Collect the Binding Stones: Retrieve the Binding Stones from all four shrines to progress in the main questline.

And that’s it, you’re done!
