Steps to Complete the Quest
Initiate the Quest:
Travel to Crossroads and speak with Boggo, the innkeeper near the Crossroads Inn.
Inquire if he has any work for you; he will mention the strange "reverse thefts" and assign you the quest.
Investigate the Town:
Your task is to examine three specific locations in Crossroads for clues.
Look for the magnifying glass symbol on your map to identify these spots:
Location 1: A house just below the inn with a scarecrow in the garden. Inside, you'll find a diamond.
Location 2: Near the southeast gate, along the pathway, you'll discover sooty footprints.
Location 3: In the graveyard on the southeast side of town (outside the main gates), you'll find a graveside note.
Find the Camp:
After collecting the letter in the graveyard, head directly north from Crossroads to locate the camp mentioned in the note.
The camp is situated just below Oasis Lake.
At the camp, you'll encounter a stranger. Engage in conversation and choose the dialogue option, "Why are you leaving items?"
The stranger will admit to being the culprit and request to meet you at a different location, which will be marked on your map.
Locate the Cave:
The meeting point is a cave located just northwest of the camp at Oasis Lake.
It's situated above the Lonely Plains Campsite.
If the quest is set as active, the location will be highlighted on your map.
The cave entrance appears as a gate leading inside.
Meet the Stranger:
Enter the cave and descend the ladder at the entrance.
Follow the path to find the stranger, Trea, indicated by a chat bubble above her head.
Engage in conversation; Trea will reveal she's a thief seeking to track down a bandit who murdered her family.
She will request your assistance, concluding the current quest and initiating the "Revenge On Ice" quest.
