In Mirthwood, the Water Under the Bridge quest is about fixing a broken bridge to help trade between the towns of Ashmire and Brightoak. This guide will show you how to complete the quest step-by-step.

Quest Details

  • Goal: Repair the broken bridge to reconnect Ashmire and Brightoak.

  • Reward: Gain more trust and respect (renown) from the townsfolk.

How to Complete the Quest

  1. Get the Quest:

    • Go to Brightoak and find the market stall below the inn called The Bog and the Briar.

    • Talk to the quest giver to start the quest.

  2. Find Ashmire:

    • Head southeast from Brightoak into the Murkwater Marsh area.

    • Cross the small bridge east of Brightoak and follow the road south to reach Ashmire.

    • Mark the quest as active in your journal to see the locations on your map.

  3. Locate the Broken Bridge:

    • From Ashmire, follow the southern road, then turn west to find the broken bridge.

    • At the bridge, you’ll see a sign that tells you what materials are needed to fix it.

  4. Collect Wood:

    • What You Need: 100 wood.

    • How to Get It:

      • Use your axe to chop down small trees.

      • If your tools are upgraded, chop larger trees and stumps to gather wood faster.

  5. Fix the Bridge:

    • Go back to the broken bridge.

    • Interact with the signpost and select "Fix Bridge" to use the wood you collected.

  6. Finish the Quest:

    • Once the bridge is repaired, the quest will be marked as complete.

    • You’ll gain renown with the people in Ashmire and Brightoak for helping reconnect the towns.

    • Look for areas with lots of small trees to collect wood faster.
