In Mirthwood, the Light Over the Sea quest involves restoring the lighthouse near Greyshore to rekindle maritime trade and attract the Wandering Trader. This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough to complete the quest.

Quest Overview

• Objective: Repair the boat, retrieve the lighthouse key, and relight the lighthouse beacon.

• Reward: 50 Gold and access to the Wandering Trader.

Steps to Complete the Quest

1. Initiate the Quest:

   • Travel to Greyshore and locate the noticeboard across from the Greyshore Inn.

   • Accept the "Light Over the Sea" quest from the noticeboard.

2. Repair the Boat:

   • Head north of Greyshore to the eastern shore, near the area where the Shoreside Menace resides.

   • Find the broken boat and interact with the signpost to begin repairs.

   • Materials Needed: 100 units of Wood.

     • Gather wood by chopping down trees or collecting from the environment.

   • Once you have the required materials, complete the boat repairs.

3. Sail to the Lighthouse Island:

   • After repairing the boat, press E to sail to the island where the lighthouse is located.

4. Retrieve the Lighthouse Key:

   • Upon arrival, proceed north from the dock to the lighthouse.

   • The lighthouse door is locked; you'll need the key to enter.

   • Head to the eastern side of the island to find a cave entrance.

   • Enter the cave and speak with the Old Man at his campsite.

     • He mentions he dropped the key somewhere in the cave.

   • Explore the cave, and around the corner from the campsite, locate the Lighthouse Key against the cave wall.

     • Be prepared to encounter and fend off some rats.

5. Relight the Lighthouse:

   • Return to the lighthouse and use the key to unlock the door.

   • Climb up the ladder inside and interact with the brazier at the top to light it.

     • The beacon will ignite, signaling the lighthouse is operational.

6. Report Back to Joan:

   • Sail back to Greyshore and enter the Greyshore Inn.

   • Find Joan, the innkeeper, usually behind the counter.

   • Inform her of the completed task to receive your reward of 50 Gold.

   • You can also inquire about the trade ships and the Old Lightkeeper to unlock additional quests.
