In Mirthwood, the Chasing Chickens quest tasks you with herding runaway chickens back to their coop, aiding a local farmer and earning rewards. This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough to complete the quest.

Quest Overview

Objective: Locate and return five escaped chickens to their coop.
Reward: Chicken Hat, increased renown, and improved morality.

Steps to Complete the Quest

Initiate the Quest:
- Travel to Northdell Farm, located near the stream on the eastern side, just below the chicken coop.
- Speak with Renoldus, a farmer in a red robe with a chat bubble above his head.
- Accept the quest by choosing the dialogue option, "I'll look for them."
Equip the Chicken Switch:
- Renoldus provides you with a tool called the Chicken Switch.
- Open your inventory and equip the Chicken Switch as you would a weapon.
Locate the Runaway Chickens:
- The chickens are scattered within a highlighted area on your map, primarily on the western outskirts of Northdell, between Brightoak and Northdell.
- Explore this region to find the chickens.
Herd the Chickens:
- Approach each chicken and use the Chicken Switch (press M1) to swat them.
- Each swatted chicken will automatically return to the farm.
Return to Renoldus:
- After all five chickens are herded back, go back to Renoldus at Northdell Farm.
- Speak with him to complete the quest and receive your rewards.

Tips

Thorough Exploration: The chickens may be hidden or wandering so search the highlighted area.
Equip the Chicken Switch: Make sure the Chicken Switch is equipped before attempting to herd the chickens.
