Ranged Leveling Guide for RuneScape 3 (RS3) in 2025
This guide will help you level up your Ranged skill from 1 to 99 (or even 120) in RuneScape 3 (RS3). It’s simple and easy to follow, even if you’re just starting. Let’s get going!
Before You Start
1. Armor
Tier 1–60: Use the best armor you can afford. Don't waste money on Armadyl Armor (tier 70); it’s expensive. Instead, upgrade to Anima Core of Zamorak (tier 80) when you reach level 80, which is about 10M cheaper as of now (25M vs 35M).
Tier 90 Armor: Surprisingly, Serenic Armor (tier 90) is very affordable and a great upgrade when you can use it. It does, however, degrade over time, so be aware.
2. Weapons
Chinchompas: Unlock at level 45. These explosive weapons make every ability hit multiple enemies, greatly speeding up training.
Crossbows: Use the best-tier dual-wield crossbows or a two-handed bow you can afford.
3. Helpful Items
Salve Amulet: Boosts damage and accuracy by 20% against undead enemies.
Vampyrism Aura: Heals you based on the damage you deal.
Aggression Potions: Makes monsters attack you automatically, so you don’t have to chase them.
Cannon: Speeds up kills but costs money to maintain.
4. Ability Bar
Use this setup for Ranged abilities:
Add Corruption Shot and Greater Ricochet if you can afford them.
Replace Greater Ricochet with regular Ricochet if needed.
