Some quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 send you on noble adventures. Others, like The Voivode’s Curse, have you forging a cursed sword and sacrificing a dog. Yep, just another normal day for Henry.
This quest comes from Aranka, a woman at the Nomads’ Camp west of Zhelejov. She believes her husband is cursed, and her solution? Transfer the curse onto a sabre so the Voivode can go around strategically striking down his enemies. Sounds totally safe.
How To Start The Voivode’s Curse Quest
You may need to finish Miri Fajta first.
Travel to the Nomads’ Camp, found west of Zhelejov.
Talk to Aranka and choose:
"I heard you have work for me."
"Alright then."
That’s it. You’re now involved in some good old-fashioned black magic.
How To Complete The Voivode’s Curse Quest
Step 1: Forge the Cursed Sabre
Aranka gives you Charcoal Water and sends you off to forge Rikonaris' Sabre. This isn't just any sword—it’s a handcrafted, artisanal, demon-infused weapon.
To craft it, you’ll need:
1x Charcoal Water (already provided)
1x Iron
1x Deer Skin
1x Copper
1x Fastening Material
2x Steel
Head to any blacksmith and forge the sabre. If you’re not skilled enough yet, you might want to level up first—unless you enjoy making subpar, dollar-store quality cursed swords.
Step 2: Kill a Dog with the Sabre
Now for the fun part. To "activate" the curse, you need to kill a dog using the sabre.
Equip the sabre.
Find a random dog—there’s usually one roaming around Tachov.
Strike it down. Yes, it’s cruel. No, the game doesn’t give you a way around it.
For those feeling guilty, just remember—this is medieval Bohemia. People have done worse.
Step 3: Return the Sabre to Aranka
With your dog-slaying duties done, return to the Nomads’ Camp.
Speak to Aranka and select "About the curse..."
Hand over the sabre, and the quest is complete.
Rewards for Completing The Voivode’s Curse
Vagrant’s Hat – Because nothing says "cursed swordsmith" like a raggedy old hat.
45 Groschen – Not exactly retirement money, but hey, it covers a few drinks.
Alternative Outcome: Keep the Sabre
If you'd rather hold onto your freshly-forged blade, tell Aranka you couldn't forge it. She’ll accept the excuse, and you’ll get to keep the sabre without having to pickpocket it back later.
Or, if you do hand it over but change your mind later, a bit of stealthy theft can put it right back in your inventory.
Final Blurb
And that’s The Voivode’s Curse. You forged a cursed weapon, committed a minor act of cruelty, and got paid in pocket change and a hat. Henry's moral compass may be questionable, but at least he’s getting things done.
