ATLYSS Race Guide and Customization Details

In ATLYSS you can pick from five unique races. Each race has its own story, look, and starting skills. Here’s a simple guide to help you choose the race that’s right for you:

Imp

Background: Imps are demon-like creatures from a magical water world filled with strange machines. They used to be servants but gained freedom.

Appearance: Imps can look like aquatic demons or more human-like creatures.

Starting Skill:

  • Siphon Leech: Shoots a magic projectile that drains health from enemies and heals you.

  • Starting Gear: Necro Marrow and Necro Caustics.

Poon

Background: Poons are clever forest creatures descended from ancient dryads. They are skilled survivors.

Appearance: They look like rabbits or jackalopes and can have antlers.

Starting Skill:

  • Leg Up: Increases agility, helping you move quickly and dodge attacks.

  • Starting Gear: Leather Top and Leather Britches.

Kubold

Background: Kubolds are magical reptilian beings from a desert sealed off by powerful spells.

Appearance: They look like dragons or crocodiles with customizable features.

Starting Skill:

  • Leg Up: Increases agility, helping you move quickly and dodge attacks.

  • Starting Gear: Leather Top and Leather Britches.

Byrdle

Background: Byrdles are bird-like creatures known for their grace and quick reflexes. They often leave their flock to explore the world.

Appearance: Byrdles have feathers, beaks, and tails, with lots of options to create unique bird-like characters.

Starting Skill:

  • Inner Focus: Improves accuracy and increases chances of critical hits.

  • Starting Gear: Aero Top and Aero Pants.

Chang

Background: Changs are adventurous rodents from a secretive and advanced civilization.

Appearance: They look like mice, opossums, or other small animals. They are the only race that moves on all fours.

Starting Skill:

  • Sturdy: Boosts defense and reduces physical damage taken.

  • Starting Gear: Nutso Top and Nutso Pants.

Choosing a Race

  • Starting Skills: Each race comes with a unique skill that can give you an early advantage. Later, you can unlock these skills for other races too.

  • Appearance: Your choice is mostly about how you want your character to look. Each race has lots of customization options.

  • Playstyle: Think about the skills you’ll start with and how they match your playstyle. For example:

    • Choose Imp for healing and damage.

    • Pick Poon for speed and dodging.

    • Go with Kubold for faster spellcasting.

    • Try Byrdle for better accuracy.

    • Select Chang for high defense.
