This is a messy one, even for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2—missing persons, grudges, and enough drama to fill a medieval soap opera. Henry gets caught in the middle of it all when Herbwoman Bozhena asks him to find her missing daughter, Pavlena. Seems simple, right? Yeah… not so much.
How to Start Bad Blood Quest
Talk to Herbwoman Bozhena at her hut in Trosky.
She’s worried because Pavlena hasn’t returned from Troskowitz.
Henry, being the ever-helpful errand boy, agrees to investigate.
Step 1: Finding Pavlena
Ask Around in Troskowitz – The Bailiff doesn’t know much but suggests talking to the locals.
Check the Tavern – Innkeeper Betty gives some gossip but no solid leads.
Talk to the Woodcutters – Dushko mentions Roman, Pavlena’s possible companion.
Search Roman’s House – Clues suggest Pavlena was there recently.
At this point, Dushko will tell you about their favorite secluded spot. Head down the hill, past the stream, and look for two big boulders.
Step 2: Investigating the Crime Scene
Follow a trail of blood near the pond.
Find Roman’s corpse half-buried in the mud (not a great sign).
Speak to Hogherd Hugo, who saw a farmhand with a spade—aka Straw.
Confront Straw at the farm and, if your Charisma is high, he’ll spill the beans.
Straw reveals that Ota is holding Pavlena south of Zhelejov. Time for a rescue mission.
Step 3: Rescuing Pavlena
Head to the marked location, where Ota has Pavlena at swordpoint.
You have three main ways to resolve this:
Talk Him Down – With high Charisma, you can convince him to let her go peacefully.
Reveal Pavlena’s Secret – If you learned from Dushko that Pavlena is pregnant, telling Ota this will make him release her.
Violence – Ota surrenders, but Pavlena grabs his sword and kills him anyway.
No matter how it plays out, Pavlena is free, and Henry has more problems to deal with.
Step 4: Dealing with Jakesh
Back at Bozhena’s hut, she demands revenge on Jakesh.
At this point, you have three options:
Kill Jakesh – Stealth kill him at his child’s grave (cold, but effective).
Persuade Bozhena and Jakesh to make peace – The diplomatic route.
Kill Bozhena instead – A plot twist ending.
Whichever choice you make, report back to Bozhena (or her corpse, depending on your choices).
Rewards
Learned Childbirth & Obstetrics (Henry, the accidental midwife).
Reputation boost (assuming you didn’t butcher half the village).
A moral headache over who really deserved what.
Final Thoughts
Bad Blood is less of a rescue mission and more of a medieval crime drama with family feuds, betrayals, and questionable parenting. Whether you solve things peacefully or leave a trail of bodies, one thing’s for sure—Pavlena’s life will never be the same, and neither will Henry’s conscience.
