Barber Update and More Coming to KCD2: What We Know

Henry of Skalitz may be a skilled fighter, a smooth talker (sometimes), and an expert at getting into trouble, but one thing he hasn’t been able to do in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2—until now—is get a proper haircut. That’s right, Warhorse Studios is finally bringing barbers back to the game, so players can freshen up Henry’s look instead of letting him run around Bohemia looking like he’s been living in the woods for a month.
What’s in the Barber Update?
The Barber Update, set to release in mid-March, will allow players to change Henry’s hair and beard styles at last. If you played the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you’ll remember that barbers were an easy way to keep Henry looking sharp. For some reason, this feature was missing from the launch of KCD2, leaving Henry stuck with whatever look Warhorse deemed appropriate.
Now, thanks to this update, players can finally customize Henry’s appearance, choosing between several hairstyles and beard variations. Some options offer small tweaks to Henry’s existing look, while others provide a totally different style, in case you want your Henry to look more like a rugged mercenary and less like someone who just rolled out of bed.
Hardcore Mode & More Updates Coming
The developer stream that announced the Barber Update also revealed another big addition: Hardcore Mode.
For players who think Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is too easy (a rare breed), Hardcore Mode will remove most UI elements, disable fast travel, and force players to navigate Bohemia the old-fashioned way—by actually paying attention to where they’re going. On top of that, players can pick from negative perks that make survival even tougher.
Alongside these updates, three major DLCs are planned for release this year, and Warhorse has promised more free updates to keep things fresh.
